10/10Wonderful singing entertainment with old world ambience. Food was not high end, but very good and satisfying. Together this is overall extremely worth the visit.

7/10The food was as expected from other reviews. Distinctly average but the service was very good and the Fado performers outstanding and made it a very enjoyable evening. Let’s face it you came for the music and ambience of 17th century cavern. And you will not be disappointed.

10/10This authentic Fado restaurant was wonderful, the ambience was beautiful, service and food great and the Fado singers just wonderful!!! You really ferl their singing in your heart, whether you are Portuguese or not. I highly recommend Cafe Luso!!!

7/10Our waiter was incredibly rude, waited an hour for our entrees. The ceiling crumbles onto your plate but not sure what they can do about that. Great fado but you'll have a better experience at a smaller venue. Skip.

9.5/10A MUST DO dining experience in the basement of a 1755 earthquake survival building with price-fixed but very good (sea bass excellent, chocolate mouse delicious) menu and live Portuguese music in the heart of old town. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience and would recommend to all who visit Lisbon.

6/10When we arrived they gave us Just fixed menu at50 euros, only when i asked i received carte menu that is completely different the one i saw on their site and on the fork menu, there were not any starters, i ordered for more than 30 euros fish stewed that was ridicolous with two shrimps and two pieces Of White fish; for 27 euros!!! I had pommes frites and grilled legumes, it's a place for tourists who want eat normal or less without any choices and spend too much, finally they didn' t calculate the fork discount and i had to ask for it...

9.5/10Very nice setting, attractive wall decorations, at 11pm the small center of the room was occupied, with Fado performed in front of an elegant backdrop. There were 4 performers each singing 3 songs; each of them had a unique style, enjoyed them all. We liked that there was a break between performers, to be served. In Evora, there was no service during the performance so we had to wait a long time for food, here the breaks allowed us to be served. You get a better table if you are dining, we only had drinks so we could not sit at the best table. The chocolate pudding was excellent. It's in a great area of town, so plenty to do before and after..

10/10It was a wonderful experience and dinner. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. The food and wine was excellent, and the Fado singers are amazing. Such a great evening.

10/10The most amazing fado experience. I was here three times over the last 7 years and it was absolutely amazing all three times. Service is fast, food is simple but very good (food was not why we came here, it’s the fado). I can recommend it.

2.5/10"Tairiim trap" a very basic understandable meal and poor quality food, lack of professionalism in cooking, many bones in the food, cheap herbs and not lettuce leaves, really bad raw materials and not recommended. Atmosphere: very crowded, a chair is falling apart, the lighting in some of the lamps is burnt out, there is no internet reception inside the restaurant. In terms of the performance: it's a shame that we didn't play at least one well-known and international song of the fado culture. Lots of breaks between songs, very disappointing!

10/10We were there for WYD2023 and wanted to experience Fado and great food. I was there two years ago and brought the pilgrims there to experience what I experienced, and it did not disappoint. The pilgrims enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

5/10Venue and service was as expected. The food and selection was su par. Would not recommend. The fado singers and musicians were entertaining. We left before the dancing portion of the performance just as soon as our check arrived. We have been traveling for 3 weeks and this experience was clearly the least enjoyable of all.

6/10Luso is a beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere is amazing. It is a fixed price menu of €45, which seemed very reasonable, until you receive the food. My steak came with potato chips, and the chicken came with french fries. It definitely cheapened the experience. The waiter was very attentive, and the wine was lovely. The singing was INCREDIBLE!!! However, they ask that you are quiet during the performance (of course!!) But they allowed a family with 2 very small children to attend. I do not believe this is a venue children should be welcomed in as they shrieked through the performance and very much ruined many parts of it for everyone. I think with minimal improvements this could have been much better experience.

10/1010/10. Worth the price. Seeing professional fado live, up close, in the depths of a 1700’s brick cellar ambience, was one of my favourite memories of our trip to Portugal. Highly recommended. We made a 10 o’clock reso for dinner and show, which allowed us to experience four different fado singers (one between each course). Provide your silence for the performances and feel a truly sentimental and emotive experience from each unique artist. The food was immaculate as well. Bravo.

3/10Fado artists were singing and playing well However it's a pity that the fado is not on the stage but at one side of the restaurant, to enable to have more seats for customers, but in such arrangement that some of the customers can't see the band... But as far as restaurant is concerned it is a disaster. Forced to have a 45euros menu, meals proposed are very simple, not original nor elaborated... Couldn't finish the chicken (one bite was enough). The chocolate mousse is good, however we expect a more elaborated dessert for a 45 euros menu... On top of all, while paying by card, the staff insists to almost force you to add a tip... Worst quality/price restaurant ever experience

3.5/10OK interior and nice artists/show. Min. Consumption is 27€pp. The food was mediocre, the 3-course menu (45€pp) forced on you by rude management and waiters. A lot of arrogance and attitude by management and waiters. Worst chocolate mousse I've had in my life, and I'm a person who has eaten at world's top 50 and at casual local restaurants alike. Interesting tourist trap I fell for.

7/10The fado music was excellent. Food is decent but nothing amazing. The salad was pale, without much taste. The main meal of chicken with mushroom sauce was good. The dark chocolate mousse was amazing. The restaurant is really beautiful and unique. Overall good experience, and price ok for 45 euros per person. Service was horrible though, had to ask 3 times to get butter with the bread. Service was really slow, took about an hour to get the salad (starter), while others had already their main meal even if they arrived 30 min after us. Overall, took 90 min to get the main meal. Too long… it was the same thing for the table next to us, a couple..they ask to see the manager at the end because they were really not satisfied of the service. Overall, you go there for the fado music, food is okay but not amazing, and service was bad. Maybe it was a bad night or we were just unlucky with the service.

9/10Cafe Luso was a recommendation and I'm so happy I went there with my friends.It gave us the most beautiful Fado experience. One that was unmatched to most places in the Fama district. Its a " must go " for every person wanting to experience music transcending language.

7/10The Fado show - three sessions - was just amazing. However the food was quite disappointing: We ordered a steak with potatoes. But instead of real potatoes , we got potato chips snacks, like those which are sold within plastic bags.

7/10they asked us to have dinner even though we came from dinner. after us, a group of Bulgarians came in and they were just drinking beer and water. ugly gesture. the performers were superb. food solid. the price is too high for that food. all in all, it leaves a bad impression that we are "scrutinized" for entry.

9/10Very enjoyable experience for the Fado dinner. The food courses were delicious and I very much liked the rotation of 20-30 minutes of excellent music alternating with 30-40 minutes to chat and enjoy the food. Overall a memorable evening
