The food is excellent, imaginative yet true to portuguese traditional cuisine; the service is friendly; there is a great selection of wines; great coffee; and the price is "reasonable" for the neighborhood.

+3A wonderful dining experience at Café No Chiado during our visit to Lisbon. The restaurant is in a fantastic location in the Chiado district, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegant and relaxed. We started with the garlic shrimp, which was delicious – perfectly cooked and full of flavour, especially when enjoyed with fresh bread to soak up the garlic and olive oil. For the main course we duck confit and braised pork cheeks, both were beautifully prepared with great texture and seasoning. The setting itself is lovely, with a warm interior and a lively terrace that’s perfect after a day exploring central Lisbon. Service was attentive, friendly and professional throughout the evening, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Café No Chiado is a good place to enjoy traditional Portuguese flavours in a stylish setting right in the heart of Lisbon.Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Chiado area.

My husband said it was the best steak he ever had in his life, and we are well traveled. The Chiado salad was phenomenal too. Absolutely loved the whole experience!

The food is wonderful . The place was empty and in November with doors open it was cold in the restaurant . Badly lit outside in a dark street , it is difficult to find also .

This great location, nice ambiance unfortunately can not be appreciated while we had 2 servers bickering and not paying attention at the customer's ( just 2 tables occupied) at all.A manager or owner should review that or soon nobody will show up. Another server was having her dinner at a table nearby.The 3 ladies had to be called many times.Food was ok but a bit cold probably because sat in the kitchen. Training and a professional manager could save the place.

Overpriced for the food quality. My dish was super-salty, not acceptable for such pricy dish! I've raten much better in restaurant out of Lisbon and away from tourist areas... those are now the authentic ones! Lisbon is becoming a fake, plastic, expensive imitation of what Lisbon was 10 years ago...

The service is hectic in terms of everyone is running everywhere except you can’t get anyone to get your order done or even bill to be brought. Food is sort of ok if discounted like it was but full price I would consider a rip off. They did apologize so it might be a one off

Our evening at Cafe no Chiado started with a warm friendly welcome. Our order was taken quickly and the freshly made food soon followed. Crapes filled with king prawns in a cream sauce where excellent as were the Pao de Rala, and Sangria. Plus where else in the world can you sit and watch the No28 tram drive by. Cafe no Chiado provides excellent food and atmosphere. Thank you.

The food was of good quality and taste and nicely arranged, prices were higher than at neighbourhood places. The service was friendly, but sometimes slow and not too attentive. Due to our discount by Fork the overall experience was nevertheless good.

Wow what a great lunch loved everything, we read the reviews and were a little nervous about the service reviews, the staff we excellent I think the reviews are based on the fact that some of the waitresses didn’t speak english but frankly were in Lisboa so what do you expect ! Staff were great food was amazing, clearly a local favourite would recommend to everyone best Sangria we’ve had you could see they take pride making!

Very central restaurant in a quiet street... service was friendly and good arrives in a good time. The atmosphere was very relaxed and calm. I'd recommend to anyone wanting some delicious Portuguese food.

Amazing experience! I was here 7 years ago and it still managed to keep it’s charm and exquisite cuisine. Best of recommendations!
