My husband and I visited Café Terroir Chez Saint-Cyr for lunch on a weekday. While the food and the ambient were excellent, the service was lacking. We were the first and only guests for the first 30 minutes or so, yet, we waited at least 5 minutes to get our menus. The food was coming slowly as well (our starter arrived 40 minutes after our arrival in the restaurant). We asked the staff to get our food faster as we had to head back to work and the situation improved slightly.

The restaurant from to road is unassuming but…. The views from the terrace are great esp the sunset. The cooking is great, they highlight their grilled food as their speciality but I think they play down the rest of the menu, it’s all fantastic!

It is always nice to be to greeted warmly and they did that very well. The menu du jour was 28 euros but we chose to go à la carte. The meal was delicious and the dessert, la baba with chartreuse was the best I have ever tasted, exceptional. The advise of the wine waiter was spot on and we chose the local Gamay and Viognier to compliment our meal. Bravo all round !
