A place that makes Lyonnaise dishes with a new and creative touch. Good recmmendations from impressive wine list. Friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed our night.

Food was great and the wine list is a chapter apart.

We had a pleasant evening at Café Terroir, a cozy and charming spot with a warm atmosphere. The service was friendly and a bit kinder than the usual French standard; they managed in English, even if with some effort. The wine selection is good, though definitely not on the cheaper side. For starters, the French onion soup was OK, and the cabbage stuffed with foie gras was interesting, even if it didn’t leave a strong impression. For the mains, the pulled pork with lentils was good, while the veal thymus with snails and mushrooms, served in a pastry basket, felt more like a matter of personal taste. Dessert was a classic Lyonnais tart — pleasant but not particularly memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and had a nice time, even if not every dish stood out.

Excellent service. Amazing food.

The staff is very polite and the ambiance is great, the food mediocre at best. The steak was like gum, so chewy you couldn’t shallow. Disappointing experience im afraid and money down the drain

The service was chaotic. 7 waiters running all over the place. Delicious and original food. Very good quality price.

I was looking forward to dining here during my visit to Lyon, and while the setting was pleasant and the service polite, the main course was disappointing. The pork chop was quite tough and sinewy, with a texture closer to tendon than tender meat. It also lacked seasoning and depth of flavor, which made it difficult to enjoy. I understand that French cuisine often highlights rustic cuts and traditional preparation, but in this case, the dish seemed more overdone than intentionally rustic. It may appeal to local tastes, yet for international visitors, the execution felt less refined than expected. On a positive note, the wine was excellent and beautifully balanced, easily the highlight of the meal. Despite the friendly atmosphere, the overall experience did not meet the level of quality one might anticipate from a restaurant in Lyon’s renowned dining scene.

The food was delicious. The service was professional and friendly. A lovely place to enjoy a good meal, fine wine and lovely surroundings. I was there by myself, and I felt very welcomed and relaxed by the attentive staff. Definitely a place to visit.

Beautiful restaurant, impeccable service, and the presentation was a pure delight. We had the Bresse chicken for 2 and it was the best we’ve ever had. Great experience and I would highly recommend.

Fabulous meal — the boeuf roti for two was outstanding. Great wine pairing and excellent service. Highly recommended!

The food quality, presentation and service were wonderful! I'm not sure why this isn't at least a Michelin Bib Gourmand. I actually preferred it to a much more expensive Michelin 1 Star restaurant.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch. Ambiance, food and wine were superb. Florian is an exceptional sommelier. Recommend 10/10

+5It was our perfect last dinner in Lyon. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. When we asked for a recommendation of local wine, the bartender called the sommelier, who suggested a wine that paired beautifully with our meal. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a truly memorable experience in Lyon.

Best Meal Ever! Fantastic service. Showed up for a 7:30pm reservation at 7:28 and was given my choice of tables RIGHT THEN. First, second, third, and more courses were better than the ones before them and they were all great. EAT AT THIS PLACE !

The quality of the food and the wine combined with excellent service.

Our waiter Bastion was full of knowledge of wines and chartreuse. We had a bottle of white wine from Jura on his recommendation that was fabulous as was the tasting of yellow and green chartreuse after dinner which was among the best dining experiences we’ve ever had in just over 50 years on this planet.

This was our last meal in Lyon. While not exactly typical, our meal featured high quality ingredients and refined dishes in a delightful setting, and the best terrine of our trip.

The food was delicious and service exceptional! :)

The food was delicious! The rotisserie chicken, carved tableside, with sauce was one of the best items we ate in France.

Very cosy and rustic atmosphere, in a centuries old building. Excellent food and service, although expensive.

One of the top two places I have been to in Lyon.

Service, Atmosphere

Very good food, well plated and wonderful service. The amuse bouche broth and pate was incredible.

Don’t go there. Overpriced over sophisticated tiny dishes. Unprofessional sommelier, slow and uncaring waiters, mistakes in the bill. And the food is not good. A big waste of time and money.

We went there 2 years ago and it was fantastic. This time they put us in their new dining area across the street from the restaurant where the kitchen is, so they were schlepping the food across the street past cars and smokers outside the door. The Rib Eye, 1.3 kilograms, was mostly gristle and silver skin resulting in four small slices for the two of us, the rest inedible. All I can say was the wine was good. Aloha
