Charming little restaurant where the owner himself explains the different dishes, the sourcing of the ingredients and gives recommendations. Really nice and fresh food, and the service was spectacular, all at great prices. Definitely would come back.

One of the first spots we've eaten at in Barcelona that genuinely cared about your experience and we’ve been here for two weeks. All the food was flavorful and the flavors were unique! Robert made some fantastic suggestions including the tiny clams and the pulpo a la gallega. Would definitely go back!

Do not be fooled by the restaurant's surroundings. This little gem is tucked away in a quiet street, away from the tourist traps. Robert, the owner, will welcome you with a warm smile and the lovely staff will make you feel at home. If Spanish is not your forte, Robert does speak English which helps in understanding their menu. The pan con tomate was good, along with the delicious, well seasoned coquinas. The iberico ham was a bit thick for our taste, but we still ate it all! The breaded cabrito was nothing special. However, their other dishes looked delicious. Overall, it was a great experience. We would definitely go back on our next trip to Barcelona. Reservations recommended. Kudos to Robert and his team! Cal Robert is definitely a restaurant you cannot miss.

We were in Barcelona for 5 days and this was our favorite stop. We were warmly greeted and helped through the menu with explanations of the dishes and preparation. Our host made us feel at home while we dined, and the food was fantastic. Fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants out of many on a two week visit to Spain. Astoundingly good food and incredibly friendly service. A family restaurant that makes you feel like you've been invited into their home.

I’ve been to Barcelona 3 times and I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone be so committed to our experience like Roberto was! He took his time with us and told us that if she didn’t like any of the food he would gladly change it. He made sure that we left with the best positive experience and that we did! Thank you Roberto! You were fabulous.

I didn't have a nice experience with the food I ordered, but for my bf it was good, I ordered lamb ribs and got also fries with, but I couldn't even taste the meat, only the bread crumbs and oil and it was the same with the fries, just to oiled. They were nice, but I don't want to go back again.

All was perfect ! The Catalan food is amazing and Robert, the owner is passionate by what he proposes. We spent a great evening on the terrace enjoying a good white wine and tasting a lot of delicious tapas prepared with local ingredients and passion! Robert explained the full menu in French and it was even a plus because we knew more before choosing. The atmosphere is also perfect in a small street of Barcelona on a beautiful terrace. If you want to add a great souvenir to your trip in Barcelona, go there ! .

The best Paella I've had in Barcelona! The owner was very kind and explained ALL the menu in detail which help us to choose the entries and main dish, also it was a fair price for the food quality. I strongly recommend the restaurant and I'll return for sure on my next trip to Barcelona.

Truly fantastic food and dining experience. The owner not only promptly greeted our party of four at 8:30 pm but was jovial and thoughtful, checking with our preferred language(s), and food and drink preferences. He carefully explained additions to the already-extensive and varied menu. (One of us has a shellfish allergy.) We ordered 8 exceptional tapas dishes—do not miss the bonbas, stuffed ravioli, jamón ibérico, mousse de capuchino. One side note is that that this is a small venue with limited and close seating. Local, limited wine list.
