I am Japanese, and I chose this restaurant because I really wanted to enjoy paella for lunch in Barcelona. The seafood paella was rich in flavor and truly tasted of the sea. The shrimp and other seafood were generous and not just decorative — everything was satisfying and well prepared. The Iberian ham was excellent, and the fried calamari was made with very fresh squid, tender and delicious. The waiter was very kind and attentive, and even offered to take photos for us, which we truly appreciated. We finished with an espresso, as we were already too full for dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Barcelona.

The dishes were absolutely delicious, and I truly enjoyed the entire experience from the starter all the way to the dessert. Each plate was well prepared and full of flavor, making the meal both satisfying and memorable. It was clear that care and attention went into every course, and I would gladly return to enjoy it again.

I visited this restaurant six years ago, and it was the most delicious paella I had ever tried. So when, years later, my wife and I flew to Barcelona, I knew for sure that we absolutely had to go there again. We booked a table for 8:00 PM — right at the moment the restaurant opens. Another couple was waiting at the entrance with us. When we were seated, we were immediately surprised by the absolute silence in the place — no conversations, no background music at all. We ordered the black paella with cuttlefish. It looked decent, but there was one major problem with the taste — it was incredibly oversalted. We barely managed to finish the portions the waiter kindly served us. When I asked for the bill, the waiter immediately sensed something was wrong, and we told him the dish had been oversalted. He took the plate back to the chef, and we could hear him mentioning it. But when he returned, nothing was offered to make up for the situation or soften the experience. We paid and left.

We arrived early in the evening, being the first guests for dinner service, yet I was disappointed to find that some menu items were unavailable. This was particularly surprising given the early hour, as one would assume the menu would be fully stocked at the start of service. It left me wondering if this was due to poor planning or supply issues, which felt out of place for a restaurant with such a long-standing reputation.

The food just good, but rhe service was very good. One thing I need to say is ; The special recommendation strater grill crayfish ABSOLUTELY over prices and doesn’t value eyery singly dollar. Its cost €42.5 for 3pcs, I can't imagine the main paella €24.4 with one red prawns and crayfish, the lobster paella €36.5 with half lobster, 3pcs crayfish (just tiny biger) cost €42.5 just ONLY 3pcs, how the restaurant set up the price？ LAST I just want the other people know (specially this restaurant) MUST ask the price before you order, not like me to did the must foolish thing.

We had an exceptional experience, Great service and great food! It exceeded our expectations. I should have known that any restaurant that has been around for over 100 years must be special, The sangria was amazing!!

Despite being someone who dines out regularly I tend not to leave a review unless I have something good to say but feel compelled to write, after a special lunch to celebrate my partner’s 59th birthday turned into a total disappointment. For a fairly high-priced restaurant I found both of our dishes (turbot and monkfish), together with one of the starters, to be really poorly cooked. This actually could possibly have been overlooked given the good location and pleasant interior, however, what destroyed the occasion completely was a child of about 7 years-old at the next table, playing a very loud computer game and shouting at his phone for the entire duration of our meal, while his family chatted amongst themselves. When mentioned to the head-waiter, we were offered complimentary coffees by way of recompense but by this time just wanted to pay the bill and leave. A thoroughly disappointing experience.

Professional and warm service and extraordinary ingredients in a cozy place. Difficult to find a better arroceria in BCN. Paella marinera was great and flavorful with all required seafood, paired with an elegant Gramona Imperial cava. Unbelievable. Btw, mussels as an entry were fresh and light…

Great family dinner. I was pleased inviting my family there for the best paella ever, and the best octopus-trompette mushroom dishes. Sangria is great as well! I was there 2 years ago for a business trip and couldn't wait coming back!

A fantastic meal both times, we went back a second time because the food and service was excellent. The squid with mushrooms was unbelievable. The paella with seafood was just so good! We had Cava Sangria both times, highly recommended. The meal was one of the best I have ever had. We spent two hours there each time, never rushed, treated like valued guests. My highest recommendation!

Location very near Barceloneta metro station. Cozy place with a fade light that gives an ancient space look. Tidy and clean. Sea food is delicious and very well cooked. Tasty and not oily at all. This is a plus! Paella with seafood is so good and delicious, the crispy rice at the bottom of the pot is something unpredictable! Yummy! All was paired with Addaia white wine, top wine! To close the dinner a squeezed lemon sorbet that I’ve never had before, it was so fresh and delicious. A mouth reset! Thank you ! The only negative note the AC too annoying, it was too cold!

It was our first dinner in town. The food was excellent. We ordered baby squid with mushrooms, oxtail stew, and Paella Negra. We loved it. The service was good as well.

It was really nice to find a quiet restaurant with excellent food and service after a weeks stay in Barcelona. Other restaurants were good but this is one to go back to again on another visit.

We came here especially to enjoy delicious paella with the famous crust. We were incredibly disappointed because instead, the paella was hastily prepared for tourists with zero crust and little flavor. It was extremely overpriced and the staff was rude. We would advise anyone looking to enjoy paella to go elsewhere.

No one greeted us when we entered the restaurant. Server was indifferent and not very helpful. Plates were dropped on our table as the waiter was turning and walking away. Our first time eating paella but if this is some of the best skip it. Everything on the menu was so expensive. All the starters cost as much as the paella.

It's a great restaurant, very well located near the old city centre and with an amazing ambience and decoration. We were having a business dinner which was excellently attended, pending all time of our needs and letting us have the best experience.

My friends and I had an excellent meal here.. one of the best paella dishes I've ever had. Location wise, it was also a short walk from the beach and close to public transportation. I would highly recommend!

The food was really amazing and the Paella was as good as it can be!! The only downside from our prospective was that the kitchen was visible, which is not a negative, however when it's noisy and people can hear the cooks' conversations about personal issues, it can become a negative factor to the overall dining experience. Overall, the Paella was delicious and lived up to the restaurant's fame, the service was equally good, and only the noise from the kitchen was the downside. Our suggestion will be that the restaurant has some sort of separation between the kitchen and the dining area and if not, they should advise the cooking staff to behave professionally when there people dining in front.
