Lovely charming restaurant. Highly recommend

The atmosphere was remarkable - a lot of spontaneous singing among customers! - and the whole experience very memorable. The food was tremendous and the whole thing felt very authentically Roman. It was one of the best hours we spent in Rome, and certainly the best meal. I don't know if the atmosphere is always so vibrant, but cannot recommend it highly enough.

The best meal we had in Rome

Beautiful restaurant environment. The food was good. But I wouldn't say it was the best I had during my stay in Italy. Definitely don't hesitate to visit. I recommend booking in advance. The staff just didn't seem to be having a good day.

Excellent pasta and beautifully prepared pork with chicory. We enjoyed the evening very much.

Lasagna was good and the meatballs with lemon dish was a nice twist and zesty. The tomato salad was just ok.

Our server was wonderful, especially since we were tourists and asked her a bunch of questions. The food was great! Just what we were craving! The pasta al Amatriciana was so flavorful!

Great small restaurant not too far from the Spanish Steps. Not touristy at all. Really great food, reasonable prices, and plenty of drink and vino options. Parma ham with burrata was also as well as the white lasagna. Highly recommend!

one of the best restaurants I experienced in Rome, typical decoration, the dishes are soooo good. I am living here since 4 months and I can tell you that if you go to rome, then you have to go to this restaurant to eat the best roman food. Waiters are also very nice and even though the place is small, it's calm and very nice.

After reading the reviews we went for the lasagne. My friend a meat ond and myself a vegetarian one, both delicious. A great little place.

Incredible service and food. The staff was kind and offered excellent recommendations both for wine and food. The food was superb and entirely worth its price.

Excellent service, food, and location. The “lasagna del giorno” was delicious as were the “polpette”! A great place for dinner when “a Roma”!!

Old fashioned cantina Italiana with excellent quality of food. The service is great and friendly. I would recommend the place for those who can appreciate real food!

We were walking around the small alleys and we saw it for the first day arrived in Roma . We decided to visit it and we had a very good experience. The place was nice especially in to the store, the tastes was very delicious. It was a little bit expensive but it was worth it. I recommend unreservedly!!!

Bruschetta with butter and anchovies was excellent. Nice selection of wine by the glass but no information on the producer, vintage, nothing, you order a brunello for 18 euros and they pour it in the back and bring it to your table. Tight quarters, very friendly staff especially Carla. Salumi and for Maggie was pretty average, none of the meats or cheese had an outstanding flavor.

Its a basic restaurant, really little more than a bar, with stools to sit on at the tables inside. But the food more than makes up for it. The food is not sophisticated, but it is nicely cooked and very tasty. Staff were very good. There were a number of locals eating there the night we were there, which must be a good sign of a decent restaurant.

Very small inside with a few outside tables. We were seated inside but quickly realized it was rather hot. The eggplant parm was very good , as was the bruschetta and anchovies. Quaint atmosphere . Service a bit slow. Too hot to eat leisurely.

The best lasagna I’ve had in my entire life. Still dreaming about it.

We will be back!! Such a wonderful night— staff so friendly/knowledgeable—family owned!!! Home made olives (best we had)— great wine—sat outside in beautiful evening!! Melon with prosciutto like a scene out of “Eat, pray, love.”’ Ordered from nightly specials— did do lasagna bolognese (house specialty) — never really had lasagna until tonight!!!! Bread and ansjovis— meatballs with so much flavor and such a great mouth-feel! Tiramisu to end such a beautiful meal!! Most important— lots of locals with us tourists!! Kinda like finding that special restaurant in Rome!! Classic menu— approachable, delicious!

We had higher expectations for the food based on the reviews. Service was great.

We ate at multiple Michelin starred restaurants during our visit to Italy, and this was better than all of them. From service, to food, to wine recommendations, this place knocks it out of the park.
