The food was very good, although we asked for medium rare steak and it seemed rare. The issue was the waiter upsold us to a more expensive steak with a huge portion without us knowing. He was speaking very broken English or Italian to us and brought us a piece of meat to preview that we thought was the steak we asked for, but was actually the most expensive steak. Later he gave 15 euros off the bill very quickly which tells me he often scams his customers and then provides this “apology discount”. The steak was over twice the price we thought we were paying.

Amazing delicious beef fiorentina cooked to perfection spoiled by lazy contemptuous service - it took 30 mins to take our order; another 15 to show is out steak cut and then 70 mins from arrival to serve the food. When i pointed out our side salad was missing the waiter sad the salad was rubbish but then it appeared on the bill!! Not once did anyone offer any apology

Our plan to enjoy my birthday dinner here was completely spontaneous and instinctive. The extremely popular restaurant's only time slot was quite early, so we were ushered into the air-conditioned back rooms. With its successful blend of modern chic and understated detail, the Catina Vasari is very inviting. The young staff is in a great mood and very attentive, but a little hectic at first. No wonder, as the evening just began. Over time, they reach their peak, and you feel increasingly well-advised and well-looked after. The wine recommendations are almost perfect. We opted for the hand-cut tartare (classica), which we were allowed to finish stirring ourselves on a slate platter. The secondo was quickly decided -a 900gram dry-aged Fiorentine steak. Medium rare, simply stunning. The side dishes are truly generous, the potatoes crispy, and the vegetables crunchy. What more could you want? We can only warmly recommend Cantina Vasari. The prices are also more than reasonable.

10/10Great little restaurant. Happy enthusiastic and helpful staff and amazing food. We shared the Ravioli dish as a starter (as suggested by our waiter) which was delicious and then had the Rib of Beef to share. All beautifully cooked. Would definitely return if we visit Pisa again.

2/10Staff were rude and found it very hard to pay the bill as kept ignoring us, food came out super quick and was nothing exceptional (don’t know how there are so many good reviews!) overall would not come back, very very average food with bad service. Also menu stated 20 euro for the wine and we were charged 22 euro, small change but not explained and unsure why price on bill differed to price on menu? Overall not satisfied

The steak here is fresh and incredibly tasty! The staff are very friendly, attentive, and great at making recommendations. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. A great spot for a satisfying meal.

5/10Booking is useless. There was no free table and we waited for the first table to be available. We sat outside below the heater which was very hot so we waited again to be seated inside in a corner inside the small restaurant. Food was good but expensive. Not value for money 🤨🤨

Great service and excellent food. Our steak was brought to us first and then cooked to perfection. Our waiter recommended a wine to go with our food which was lovely. The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was busy with locals who obviously go there regularly. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place.

This is my first time to visit Pisa and enjoy food and service in Cantina Vasari. Cantina Vasari is a restaurant that I randomly selected in a huge number of restaurants in Pisa. I selected it because of its environment and atmosphere created. After I visited Cantina Vasari, I found that my choice is really really good, since the food and service are prefect, especially “Fiorentina o costata di manzo”. !!! THE BEST STEAK EVER !!! even I ate numerous steak around the word. It created another memorable travel experience for me.

9.5/10My husband and I visited Cantina Visari for our anniversary and the food was exceptional. He enjoyed a steak which was beyond compare in his opinion, and wildly low priced at €25 when we would expect to see the same steak upwards of £60 in London. My own steak tartare was delicious. We were seated outside in a smaller area with the person behind me bumping my seat, next to plastic sheets over the awning ( it had rained earlier), so with this and the bright lights I docked half a point for ambience. But the staff were great and we watched as they brought out various cuts of steak to customers to show before taking them back to cook. It was overall a very enjoyable experience and I would thoroughly recommend
