Our reservation was at nine and we were delayed 45 minutes, apparently they didn't have any in the restaurant room so they didn't put us there and put us next to the wine tasting room. The service was very slow we ended up eating at eleven thirty, which food was mediocre. The only nice thing was of course the wine and the space.

The service was really warm and the food was amazing we ordered the potato ravioli with duck sauce veal meatballs and chicken . The wine was superb too . All in all a great experience .

Cantinetta Antinori is a sentimental favorite of ours, to which we have been coming every time we’ve visited Florence for over forty years. Last night the restaurant looked more beautiful than ever, but from the time we arrived (seemingly seated in a section for Americans) the experience went sharply downhill. Service was indifferent and rushed. We ordered starters (stuffed zucchini) and two mains (veal meatballs-dry, sea bass-bland) all of which were beautifully plated, but tasteless. Once the mains were served, we were completely ignored; no chance to order additional wine while our food was still hot, etc.. We were so disappointed that we asked for the check and left with no plans to return again. For the record, we were nicely dressed.

We were looking forward to visit this location since we’re wine enthusiasts. I would say the experience was okay. We ordered a red wine tasting and a bottle of Tignanello with dinner. The waitress who came to do the tasting didn’t provide the best experience. She kept mentioning how small the pour was for the tasting like we didn’t know what a tasting was.

Our server was amazing she gave excellent recommendations and made the night so enjoyable ! The food is classic Tuscan fare done so well but without the frippery of touristy venues and the wine selection is extraordinary. The value for money was a surprise- it came in as one of the more modest priced meals even though it was absolutely the best of our week and a half in Florence. We will be back !
