10/10Outstanding food in a delightful setting and really good service. The value for money was also very good. We had a stunning Gorgonzola and pear risotto (????) and pork ribs with a lovely fresh salad and good hand cut fries. The house wine was really good. We will return next time we are in the area!

10/10What a wonderful find, the hosts were very hospitable and food was cooked to perfection! Even the salad was seasoned beautifully!! There was something for everyone. It is cash only but the owners were patient whilst we found the nearest cash point in Sintra.

8.5/10A nice restaurant with easy parking, greatly appreciated in these beautiful villages with narrow streets. We received an excellent service from its owner Luis. He was very charming and smiley. He gave us very good food and wine recommendations.

10/10I’ve gone to this restaurant before with a friend and now I brought the whole family. The food is even more delicious than I recalled and the ambiance and staff are so nice!! You definitely get well fed here, the portions are huge! Will return!

8.5/10The food was very simple and very good. Octopus cooked to perfection. Wine list was not bad for a small personally run restaurant and fairly priced. The service was excellent, friendly, and responsive. This is a casual place but very well run.

10/10This restaurant was recommended by the Vila Vitorino where we stayed while in Sintra. It could not have been a better choice and we returned the following evening as well. It is a family run portugese restaurant in a small rustic home by a river and horse farm with plenty of parking outside. I had the most tender whole octupus the first night and the owners bbq ribs recipe the second while my wife had the cod and shrimps. The best meal we had in all of Portugal. While inexpensive, note that they only accept cash.

10/10We had a lovely time at this restaurant, went there for dinner, the restaurant is lost in nature, the atmosphere is very charming and the food was excellent, the cheese board was delicious as well as the other dishes we ordered, recommend the chicken lasagna which one of us ordered but all three of us ended up trying, the waiter was also very nice.

8.5/10Rustic and simple. Note they don't accept international Visa or Mastercard - our waiter only told us when we requested our bill. Due to covid we don't travel with much cash.. a very tricky situation.

10/10The food was lovely, the service was amazing. Extremely polite staff and very nice. Has parking which is helpful on the location the restaurant is. During winter, they have a fireplace on which gives a very cozy atmosphere and can be quite romantic also. If you’re looking for a not pricey place for a romantic date or even a casual dinner with friends and you’re around Sintra, I strongly advise this place. You will not regret.

8/10The restaurant location is superb, but it took us more then one hour to get our food. The dishes were ok, but a bit too salted. The staff is very nice but they need to be a little bit more professional specially when handling such huge delays from the kitchen.

10/10The food was delightful with a great range of small and larger plates, all delicious, yet still great value. The location is set back from the main road with a quaint garden next to a small river. Inside the restaurant keeps to the charm you would expect of a small modern restaurant, charming and clean. Possible the best find of our week-long trip to Portugal. Would strongly recommend.

8/10Great restaurant and very nice food. They have a vegan selection which was really nice for our Vegan guest. The only thing that I would like to have seen is more options for children under the age of 10. Overall a very good experience.

9.5/10Very charming and a little funky. More like sitting in your friends’ backyard than in a restaurant patio. Nice music. Quiet relaxed vibe. Service was superb. Attentive. Polite. Food was excellent—veggies picked from the garden and then prepared for us. Home cured olives and other starters were exceptional. Great local house wine. The only “miss” was a steak entree that actually turned to be veal and was a bit over cooked. And it was moderately priced. A terrific value.

10/10Fantastic service and fantastic food at a fantastic price. This is worth the trip outside of Sintra although we walked (30 minutes) along pretty countryside lanes from the centre.

9.5/10The best Portuguese food we had on a trip from the southern coast and through the Douro Valley. Attentive and friendly service from Ana and great cooking by Heuban. We liked it so much, we went back a 2nd night. Good wine list, reasonable prices, and the feel of a neighborhood cafe. Everything we tasted, from the bread to the bacalao, was delicious. Wish we could return again!
