Fabulous find! Plain but relaxing and ambient restaurant. Great waitress...attentive but not in your face. Very knowledgeable. Food was amazing! Small portions (you'd expect this I think) though wonderful flavours. Filling too, once you'd had the complimentary dish and home made bread. Delicious! Every course was presented beautifully and in a timely way (not too quickly after each previous). No rushing to leave either. Would definitely return!

There is nothing more irksome then dining at a restaurant with a well-schooled, experienced chef who serves a formulaic, reheated menu expecting perhaps that diners are not knowledgeable,unexperienced or just have no tast? Does this man have any idea how much the bar has been raised for successful "Michelin" dining? We drove to Augusta with high anticipation. We found a sparse portico & room devoid of patrons. An inner city bistro no longer an oasis. A greeter, hostess server took our order. And served a simple amuse-bouche. There was a small wait. Yet remarkably no noise from the kitchen. Nor an appearance of the lone chef? to explain any of his whimsy inspirations or melding the taste sensations of their contents. Sadly, no presentation & no performance to justify our trek to this bistro. Plating of the dishes was barely adequate with one tower served collapsed; the shrimp & octopus courses were dull. One dish was overgrilled rubbery the other not fresh. (There was linguini with a cashew sauce that was worth remembering but misding something. The deep fried tuna rossa was decent & itsonion jam sauce a highlight. This restaurant won't last long without a major re-think of its pretense or menu. The prix fixe Fork menu was insipid & overpriced. No flexibility. The a la carte menu had only more of the same. Readers beware of the hype. Pass it by.

+2We booked Capriccio because it was our Anniversary and we wanted to find a special restaurant and one with seafood. We were not disappointed. We had the 8. Course tasting menu with wine pairing. I can honestly say we were thrilled to have found this Jewel. The food was exceptional, so much so we booked for the a’la carte menu two days later. If you love food and wine this is the place to go. There is a reason they are recommended in the Michelin guide. Hopefully next is a ⭐️.
