Food was incredibly creative and delicious and artfully presented. Can’t believe chef only 27. Can’t imagine what he’ll be doing at 37. Service was extraordinary from an even younger brother who in addition is amazingly knowledgeable about the wine list, a sommelier in the making. We can only echo previous reviewers that Michelin should be revisiting with their stars. Kudos for all.

The food and service here were outstanding- they went out of their way in every way to help us choose wine and food, explaining in detail and helping us to a greater understanding of the regional food and wine. Should have a * Michelin!

+8A visual and taste tour de force. You will discuss each plate as it is pesented and be prepared to say "Wow" or something like that. Then you will say something like "amazing" when you taste the offering. Serivce, ambience is top notch. Food is simply dleightful (chef apprenticed at 1 and 3 star restaurants. Family run, family farm sourced ingredients and they take great pride in what they do. Cocktails are well made - go ahead, try their negroni and it will become one of your Top 3 ever. Come hungry even if you go a la carte. Reservations are needed to avoid disappointment. Other guests were literally calling Michelin to get the restaurant reviewed. Enjoy the evening!

We went to a restaurant that claims to have a Michelin - style offering, but the experience was disappointing. We ordered a 6 - course set menu for 100 euros. From 8 pm to 9:45 pm, in less than two hours, the waiter repeatedly urged us to leave, and the service showed no sense of respect. The arrangement of the dishes was also extremely unreasonable. As a restaurant in a coastal city, there were no shrimp, scallops, or other seafood at all. Instead, it was full of staples like pork, rice, and pasta. The last dish, steak, was even cloying to eat. The overall taste was just ordinary Italian - style, and there was none of the “exquisite Michelin - like texture” as advertised. Such service, dishes, and taste are completely not worth the 100 - euro price, and the cost - effectiveness is extremely low.

However, we would like to clarify a few important points for the sake of those reading your review. No one from our staff ever asked you to leave. We simply requested a moment to rearrange the table, as the reservation was made for 5 people, but only 3 arrived. Regarding the tasting menu, it was clearly explained to you at the time of your order. Nothing was served without your prior knowledge. Had there been anything you didn’t like, we would have gladly made changes — as we often do — had you simply let us know. Lastly, when it came time for dessert, it was you who asked us to speed things up because you were in a hurry to leave. We regret that you did not enjoy our culinary offering, but we remain fully committed to quality and hospitality. If the Service warranted being marked 10/10 which it did then the food should be awarded 12/10 at the least. We arrived at the restaurant just as it suffered a power cut but were so warmly welcomed that we decided to stick it out. Ten minutes later the power was back and the fun began. If anyone from Michelin is reading this I beg you, award them a star immediately.

Really nice environment and ambience, the service was exceptional and the food just divine! There are no words to describe how great the food was. If someone is in the region they should definitely eat in Carusu restaurant!

Very good food.

Carusu is a hidden gem. The food was not only sumptuous but sensuous it was exquisitely presented. The wine paring was fantastic and memorable, complimenting each delicious morsel. The ambiance is calm and inviting. The service was nimble, pleasant and professional, every nuance noticed and adeptly addressed. Its reputation is well deserved and we look forward to our next visit.

Loved our meal here, in fact, I think it exceeded our 1 star Michelin meal in Ragusa. We did one of the tasting meals (more courses than they list! Nice surprises). Excellent value for quality. Food and presentation was both creative and approachable. Attentive and friendly service. Our favorite meal in Sicily! Highly recommend if in the Agrigento area. Was easily walkable from Villa Athena Hotel.

The restaurant was beautiful. Over the top waitstaff. Food was excellent however you are required to order 2 courses. The size of the food served wouldn't feed a small child. Absolutely ridiculous.

Our meal at Carusu was wonderful. It was a true culinary experience with beautiful food and perfect service. A true gem in Agrigento and a wonderful surprise. This restaurant compares to our experience at Isteria Francescana in Modena. Thank you for your love of food and your creativity.

My wife and I booked a reservation last minute. My wife is pregnant and had dietary restrictions and the restaurant was very accommodating. The service was impeccable, food was delicious and well curated. I recommend this restaurant as the service experience alone was memorable.

Good location. Food was overall good (we did tasting menu), but one dish so salty we sent back. Wine option we selected (tastings) so-so. Service so-so (the staff seemed short-handed overall and stressed.) Ambience so-so (plastic Christmas decor, and a very loud table of Americans pretty much ruined a nice dinner). Overall did not meet expectations for a Michelin starred restaurant.

After almost a month in Italy, we had the best food of our trip at Carusu. Wonderful service, which began with a welcome prosecco and a range of delicious mouthfuls, followed by food that was never short of excellent - beautifully presented, packed with flavour, perfectly portioned. The risotto was a highlight but the Agrumi di Sicilia dessert was also amazing. Thank you to all at Carusu!

Creative, visually appealing, truly delicious. Great chef. Excellent, friendly service. They were there when you wanted them to be yet knew to not be there at times. We loved it. It was as much an experience as a dinner.

Excellent food, refined and original. Very friendly service. We even met the 24 year old chef who is a master of his art. I highly recommend Carusu. We had a superb diner and a great time.
