food was best we have had in Lisbon, with the sauces in each dish light and complementing the food to perfecton.

Staff was polite and helpful. Enjoyed eating the recommended dishes of the day (included couvert, soup, main dish, coffee and drink). Well cooked and tasty.

The food - grilled chicken - was so non-eventful that I won’t remember it. More was to be expected from a Chef’s restaurant. Only the tomato salad was savoury.

We have been there twice and were very impressed with the good quality the first time, the second time, the same items were different and not as good as the first time. In both instances, the service was a total catastrophe! The first time the service training was happening with us and the second time the service was neither courteous nor professional

We had the Daily menu which included a starter and main dish. Tuna steak was perfectly cooked. Amazing dessert of grilled pineapple with ice cream.

I came to Restaurante Carvoaria - Vítor Sobral four times during my five-day stay in Lisbon — that’s how much I loved it! A big thank you to the charming, attentive, and incredibly handsome waiter whose recommendations made every meal perfect. The grilled fish was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and the surprise desserts were an absolute delight. The restaurant even agreed to our special request and prepared a seafood rice dish that wasn’t on the menu — it was fantastic! They also helped my friend celebrate her birthday, creating a truly unforgettable night. Thank you to the whole team for serving such fresh and high-quality seafood — as a Taiwanese living and working in Prague, it truly satisfied the craving I’ve had for the flavors of home that I can rarely find there. I strongly recommend all Taiwanese travelers visiting Lisbon to come and enjoy a meal here — it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Carvoaria - Vitor Sobral! The appetizers, grilled fish, and dessert were all absolutely delicious. The grilled fish, in particular, was outstanding — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our server made excellent recommendations and provided exceptional service throughout the meal. Highly recommended! If you’re from Taiwan and visiting Lisbon, this place is a must-visit for amazing grilled fish.
