7/10This place is overrated. The food was good but not worth the prices. We preferred many other non pretentious restaurants in Barcelona. The whole vibe is pretentious - and it was full of tourists - no locals seemingly eat here.

9.5/10Food is absolutely delicious! The cremosa d'Gla and Cremosa de Suquet are absolutely delicious ! The seafood paella is amazing! Tried also the Amalia's cheesecake and it is definitely one of the best cheesecakes I've tasted.

7/10The food and cocktails were great. They ran out of 3 items that we ordered. Server had no clue that they were out. We had to keep reminding the server of items we ordered or requested. Hostess was very rude.

9.5/10The staff was absolutely wonderful. Never felt we had to ask for anything, very vigilant to all our needs. The food was very tasty, croquettes, three meat cannelloni, paella could be a bit stronger in taste, lamb was really soft! Sweets were also very yummy especially the cheesecake !!! Wonderful restaurant overall! Highly recommended!!

5/10Nice location and nice food but this is really overpriced and we felt pushed to consume. They behave as if they are offering a Michelin star service which is definitely not the case.

Antonio was extremely friendly and patiently explained to us the menu and was very hospitable. The food was delicious too, highly recommend the torpedoes.

6/10The terrace has a lovely ambiance, making it a pleasant spot to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the service during our visit left much to be desired — it was quite inattentive, and at times, seemed non-existent. We tried the clams, which were unfortunately very dry and not up to expectations, especially at €25, which felt overpriced given the quality. The paella was decent, though not particularly memorable. Additionally, some of our ordered dishes were forgotten by the waiter, which affected the overall dining experience. In summary, while the setting is quite nice, the experience can be hit or miss depending on the service. With a more attentive team, it could be a much more enjoyable visit.

+1Had a lovely dinner at Casa Amalia 1950! The food was delicious — the mussels were packed with flavor and the cheesecake was out of this world. Big shoutout to our waiter Juan, who was super kind and attentive. When I spilled sauce, he brought a stain remover and brush right away — amazing service!

Casa Amalia 1950 is a total gem of a restaurant. From the absolutely sublime food, to the immaculate atmosphere, to the exceptional service. Nothing was left to chance. This restaurant was so incredible, we ate there twice. My partner had the exact same meal and I ventured farther into the menu—neither of us was disappointed in the least and found ourselves ranking these as 2 of the best meals that we have ever eaten! This restaurant alone is worth planning a trip to Barcelona. Menu recommendations : the rabbit and sausage paella was so good, my partner ate it twice (along with the cheesecake, the cod dish was flavourful and so unique, the stuffed eggplant was sublime and a party in my mouth. The flan was excellent and the Pochy Pum Pum (think dulce de leche lava cake with marscapone ice cream) was spectacular. If you have a chance to eat here, do it (and make sure that you make a reservation!).

+1It’s a good place. But the hostess was very angry, we arrive 10 minutes before the schedule, and she told us the table wasn’t available. I wait beside the hostess and when the hour was complete, she do nothing and say the table is ready. I mean, we can pass earlier without inconvenience. And the food is not different for another place. I will not Back.

First dinner in Spain this trip and had high expectations. Unfortunately both the ambiance and the food were somewhat lacking. We mentioned the special occasion under our reservation, but were still seated in a very cramped lower floor in a tiny table sandwiched between others, with ceiling reachable by hand when standing up, food options were kinda limited and the octopus that we were excited about came out pretty chewy and rubbery, and we had much better ones in New York and Portugal. Also the restroom was not working or being cleaned while we were dining there, and we were told we had to go to their venue next door from outside then go downstairs… All is all, Service was still good, and most food was flavorful but we were not blown away especially given the price level. Last trip we had a much more satisfactory dinner next door at Nine.
