A friend recommended Amalia as I was looking for authentic paella. And it was amazing! I highly recommend dining here. The staff was friendly, attentive and offered suggestions for after dinner drinks. I look forward to coming back on my next trip to beautiful Barcelona

Great gem of a restaurant, hidden in a small alley with a beautiful small terras en lovely staff. The lobster eclair is to die for and the paella the best I’ve ever eaten! Will definitely be back!

Very friendly server and food was great we just had shared bites before going to a concert and was fantastic ! Sitting outside on a small walking street in perfect Barcelona weather ! Don’t miss dessert :-) nice to see the manager boss or owner check in on us not once but twice !!

Casa Amalia is an amazing restraunt and has some of the best Paella in the city of Barcelona. I highly recommend going for a visit and getting yourself a delicious dinner.

Great spot the staff were amazing and very friendly. Food was exceptional and the chilled Rioja was a must. Would recommend to anyone who wants something a little different than the regular tapas..

We had lunch today 6 persons at 15:15. I could only book for two persons via Fork as it could only accept 2 or 10 persons. However when we went and explain that we are six they were very helpful and gave us a private room viewing the kitchen. The food was excellent and the service equally impeccable.

Food was alright. They ran out of the fish paella which is one of the stars of the menu, so I find it weird. The meat paella was alright (only three small pieces of meat). Waiters were lost, completely. I don’t recommend the second floor for tall and or claustrophobic people, because the ceiling is too low.

We were a no party of six including 2 young children. We had a private room on the second floor overlooking the kitchen. Nice touch Well each course was a trip into bliss. From the’ Popeye’, the lobster roll, the clams, and the superb mussels in coconut curry. All drenching the wonderful sour dough grilled bread. Oxtail, ceviche and the paella all met a very high standard. Finished with the burnt cheesecake - my favorite, the cucumber sorbet (unique) and the chocolate cake wolfed down by the children. Truly a starred experience with a very nice setting. Well worth your time and taste.

Chaos, like 6 waiters at our table. The quality of the food was not good, waiter kept telling us how great our food was, “great right”? The best, right”! We were disappointed. It was for us a waisted evening knowing that we could have chosen from one of the other 9000 restaurants in Barcelona. I hope that they will take notice to this message. 1. Chaos with waiters. 2. Incorrect knowledge of the food. Tell your waiters what gelatin is made from. It can not be sold as a vegetarian product. 3. Quality of food not up to par with the name and length of time that the restaurant has existed. Or, the fact that it’s listed on Trip Advisor. 4. Visually the restaurant is good. 5. Location good. We would not go back. That’s too bad.

Rude hostess. Minimal portions. Overpriced. Charged me for 2 dishes when I ordered just one. Photos n the menu are deceiving. Stay away. The fork rating does not reflect the truth.

Absolutely delicious! You must go! The menu is incredible and the service works really hard to ensure you have the best evening. The only things I’d suggest to take it to the next level is a wine pairing and a tasting menu. That way the hard work of navigating the amazing menu would be done for the customers.
