I ordered a cake and candle after dinner for my friend birthday (surprise),but in the end there isn’t any cake and surprise.that was very bad and awful.

We came for dinner on my husband’s birthday. Not only was the duck paella exquisite and the service sublime, the staff surprised us with truffles and a birthday candle!! How delightful — I can’t wait to return to Barcelona and dine here again. All the stars!!!!!

The food is an absolute revelation—each dish is crafted with care, showcasing the best of local produce and a menu that beautifully evolves with the seasons. Every bite was a celebration of flavor and creativity. What truly sets Casa Amalia apart is the exceptional service. Marina, the hostess, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. Both times we visited, we initially had outdoor seating, but thanks to Marina’s dedication and a quick chat on WhatsApp, we were seamlessly moved to cozy indoor tables. The attention to detail was remarkable—the waiter even remembered us from our first visit! This was, without a doubt, the best culinary experience we had in Barcelona. If you’re visiting the city, skipping Casa Amalia would be a terrible miss. We’ll absolutely be back on our next trip—100% recommend!

5.5/10Disappointed. We booked for a holiday dinner. Difficult to enjoy with such a fast service. Not enough time for the aperitif and between courses. The temperature of the dishes was not ok. They fixed it when mentioned for the main course. The taste was ok. But the overall experience was not at the expected level.

+3the best culinary experiences my fiance and I have ever had the food snd the service In our opinion was second to none there wasn't one miss with the food it just kept getting better and better from the mussels with that amazing coconut sauce to the thinly sliced melt in your mouth pork with the crackling crunch to the 35+ day aged steak that was complimented with a bowl of flaky salt so amazing to the wagyu beef rib that was absolutely delicious again just disintegrated in your mouth and so juicy and lastly the FLAN!!!! I must say that chefs put love into the food we received but FLAN I cannot emphasise enough was the creamiest and just mind blowing I couldn't get enough if I wasn't so full I would of ordered another plate of that FLAN go to Casa Amalia you will not be disappointed 10/10

10/10What better way to celebrate Catalán culture than book lunch at a top rated catalan restaurant in Barcelona? Casa Amelia, our server Flor and the entire experience was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. We had Spinach croquettes in honey comb (“Popeye), a truly unique dish that popped! On to our lobster sandwich my wife raved about as the way lobster should taste, and a mussel dish (Bravo Charlie) grilled with a perfect tamarind spice sauce before moving to our main dish, the lamb slow cooked to melt in mouth tender perfection. Complimented with homemade sourdough bread and generous pours of wonderful red and white wines, this was a perfect meal. Flor served us with grace and charm, ensuring we’ll return very soon. A 10/10.

3/10If you love Asian food and you are a vegetarian, this place is a wrong choice. The bread was burnt and is too hard to bite/chew. The restaurant kindly offered a vegetarian paella. It was tasteless, bland and had to request for salt and pepper to add some flavour. It was a total disappointment for me unfortunately!

4/10From business owner to business owner, firstly i don’t like to make this but have to : 1. when you arrive to a restaurant where the bill is around 75/100€ per person i expect a dress code, not to eat with people with flip flop or football jearsey, it is embarrassing 2. Sitting on a table that is moving like a wave isn’t nice 3. arriving and waited 1Hour to have a lamp on my table, have eaten in the shadow :/ 4. brought the tablet to look at the menu, after waited 15 minutes to call waiter attention to tell her she gave us one out of battery. 5. being changed tablet, given a broken one. Food is average. not recommended.

7/10This place is overrated. The food was good but not worth the prices. We preferred many other non pretentious restaurants in Barcelona. The whole vibe is pretentious - and it was full of tourists - no locals seemingly eat here.

9.5/10Food is absolutely delicious! The cremosa d'Gla and Cremosa de Suquet are absolutely delicious ! The seafood paella is amazing! Tried also the Amalia's cheesecake and it is definitely one of the best cheesecakes I've tasted.
