Food quality worsened quite a lot since 2025. I would not return

The food was a huge surprise. We expected GOOD but this was fabulous. Our starters were superb especially the spinach ball which was crispy on the outside and sumptuously creamy and delectable inside, then this amazing squash dish with pepitas, strawberries, crema and slightly tangy greens was a total WOW, pork in crispy pork skin was fantastic, loved the noodles with pork rib and mushrooms which was served similarly to paella and just as tasty, and amazing Valrhona chocolate dessert. Definitely our favorite meal in Barcelona for the 9 days here. Service was terrific, helpful, efficient as we had to get to Sagrada Família in time for a tour. Will absolutely come back and recommend this to anyone coming to Barcelona.

Great food and good wine - unfortunately, the tables are quite small for the delicious meals...

My wife' fish course was undercooked... they offered to finish the cooking on the undercooked bit rather than replacing the dish .... still charged us though!

I always love this restaurant and I have been here four or five times. I just wish there were many more options...

So far, the best dining experience in Barcelona. The paella was out of this world, the wine, the service - everything was 100/100.

Completely bland paella. Completely unauthentic place. A business. No soul. Very disappointed. Not recommended

A beautiful evening celebrating a birthday. The staff made it ultra special by allowing us to have a private room. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! A favorite in Barcelona!

Even we couldn't grab a seat inside, the heater and the waiters were amazing. Really enjoyed the food and the service.

Good food, professional service and nice ambience. Not a tourist trap! Highly recommended.

The food was good but a little bit too pricy. We absolutely loved the croquettes with prawns and the torreznos. The pork bun was also good. The suckling pig was not worthy of the price but the crispy skin was yummy. The main dish and the dessert (we ordered cheesecake) were elegantly presented, but the cheesecake was a bit too sweet for us.

Very expensive for what you get.

Exellent service and creative, delicious food. Wayu paella was to die for. Mussels were best I ever had. Gonzalo our server was very attentive and gave us great recommendations

This place exceeded all our expectations for a Christmas dinner with colleagues. Amazing food we are still talking about a week later. We had a menu and the starters kept coming, all of them incredible. The main courses were also another level, never eaten lamb that tender and delicious. Wonderful service, we felt looked after and it was a truly memorable occasion to remember for all of us. Thank you.

The food is always great. The mix between cuina de mercat and their modern approach makes it memorable

We came for dinner on my husband’s birthday. Not only was the duck paella exquisite and the service sublime, the staff surprised us with truffles and a birthday candle!! How delightful — I can’t wait to return to Barcelona and dine here again. All the stars!!!!!

Casa Amalia is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and an ambiance that made us feel right at home. The food is an absolute revelation—each dish is crafted with care, showcasing the best of local produce and a menu that beautifully evolves with the seasons. Every bite was a celebration of flavor and creativity. What truly sets Casa Amalia apart is the exceptional service. Marina, the hostess, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. Both times we visited, we initially had outdoor seating, but thanks to Marina’s dedication and a quick chat on WhatsApp, we were seamlessly moved to cozy indoor tables. The attention to detail was remarkable—the waiter even remembered us from our first visit! This was, without a doubt, the best culinary experience we had in Barcelona. If you’re visiting the city, skipping Casa Amalia would be a terrible miss. We’ll absolutely be back on our next trip—100% recommend!

Great experience! Delish food and service. While a lot of locals visit, it’s very friendly to outsiders as well

From our point of view is a turist trap. Expensive, just one type of paella, small portions.
