The location is very good however the food mediocre and the service definitely could improve. All of this may be because we had.signed up for the 30% discount through the Fork, which we didn't receive.

The best spaghetti alle vongole we had in many years. Delicious pasta a la Norma. Fine, affordable wines. Friendly, English speaking, owner and staff. We had dinner there twice in a row.

This was our favorite meal after five days in Palermo. Everything was tasty. We had caponata at I highly rated restaurant which was ok. The Caponata Spadahere was delightful with a perfect balance of sweet and sour. Tortellini in brodo was good as we’ve had in Bologna. The Busiate con pesto di pistacchi e gamberi the pasta was wonderfully chewy. The sauce has made me look up recipes to make this at home. The Stinco di maiale was one if the best pieces of pork I've ever had. So tender and flavorful. I wich I had more days in Palermo so that I could come back and eat again

The vongole were not in their shells and so didn’t have the fresh flavor, or any flavor, nor did the pasta. The pasta norma was just ok.

Good evening, we're replying to your review just to point out, for those reading, that the clams were fresh but, alas, tasteless. I personally verified this, probably because we didn't add too much salt to the water during the purification process. The cappellacci, a very popular dish, I don't know what to say. A simpler filling of eggplant and smoked scamorza? The busiate with pistachio pesto and shrimp, also fresh shrimp that day. The logic of profit at all costs, skimping on the quality of raw materials, is not our thing..

Traditional restaurant in downtown Palermo with a great selection of hard-boiled meat, tongue, tripes, and more. Attentive and friendly service and reasonable prices.

Recommended by someone living in Palermo. Enjoyed a lovely meal with excellent service. Appreciated being welcomed as a solo diner. I disregarded a series of very negative reviews that seemed very similar — someone with a grudge? — and I'm glad I did. Did not disappoint.

Our server/host/owner was delightful and entertaining. The restaurant is quiet enough to have a conversation even when many tables are full. He introduced to a lovely local gin.

Great place, excellent service and excellent food. We were there on Easter Sunday and we had a heart and body warming dining experience, thanks to the very friendly and fun gentleman that was our server for the evening.

On a recommendation, we sought out this place and were happy to have a reservation at 8:00. At 9:30 when my main course finally arrived, less so! Dismissive service, long wait for food, (my husband's was cold) and no apology made it a less than enjoyable experience. Sicilian food can be delicious.....and eating out a fun experience....sadly, his was not the case at Casa del Brodo.

Great home style cooking to a high standard. Had dishes I have never had in any Italian restaurant in london or in Italy. Typical Sicilian. Rustic and wholesome food

Food correct as taste (not more) but not enough in size of a portion. I had 2 secondi piati (lingua and sardines) and I was stil hungry after them. The size was let’s say as for starters. This has never happened to me before in Sicily.
