The staff was really welcoming. The place is beautiful. It feels you are in a tropical forest. The food is tasty.

The place has a lovely atmosphere and brings you back to Asia, and the staff was friendly. The food was ok, the black Bao was really tasty but the shrimps in the soup were overcooked and the ice cream in the desert was so frozen it was hard to eat. Overall, quite expensive for the quality.

Most of the dishes were different of what you see in most places! Tasted Black bread, Mumbai and Ribeye dishes, all delicious. For dessert ordered SOI one, mixing textures and flavours. The place is seasonal, stays open by 31st October due to weather conditions.

Overpriced for the quality of the food

It is a perfect ambience for the sunny and warm autumn day. The food is delicious for Asian lovers. The selection is not very big, but reasonable for the lunch.

Service was awesome. food was like a fancy fast food type (Asian Street Food with a premium spin to it)

Vão was regular. Nice ambiance in the middle of a beautiful garden.

Terrible experience — check my full review on Google, there’s a character limit here 😅

Food was ok, nothing we had justify the price of the items. only the location being inside a luxury hotel. Havin the bill come with a "recommended gratuity" is also something that is increasing in this type of restaurants. We were informed it is optional!

The atmosphere is really nice, but the food is spicy(not in my taste), and also prices for cocktails are kinda high. But in general good experience

we choice 2 plates quite expensive (40 and 70 €) crab salad which just comes out from congelador and a lobster over cooked, probably also fresh out of congelador ! Not better experience with dessert.... So never again with the same chef

The food was so very bad, especially considering that it is not a cheap place. Fried shrimp and spring rolls tasted and felt like supermarket frozen food. And the 35 euros fish curry was so heavy on fat (coconut milk I suppose) that we could only eat half of it and then had digestive issues all afternoon. This is a tourist trap food wise. I can also add that without even telling us, they added 10 euros in gratifications to the bill. We only discovered this because we asked about every item in the bill, otherwise we would have paid the sum without having a chance to decide if we wanted to. The place is beautiful, with a run down feeling but the food is a total failure and an expensive one. My advice is: run from it!

The environment and the treatment we received
5.0
The ambience was great, given all the green surrounding and the proper music on a sunset. The service was average but the food was really below expectations and expensive for what it was.

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience does not live up to the premium prices. The food is quite average overall. We tried the Black Bambu Bread, Pastrami Green Tacos, and the Pla Tod. The Black Bambu Bread was good, but €21 for a single meat bun feels excessive and hard to justify. The Pastrami in the tacos had an artificial flavor. The Pla Tod was nicely fried and fresh, which I appreciated. However, the rice served with it was very bland and lacked any flavor. Service was friendly, but lacked professionalism and efficiency. To top it off, the 10% mandatory service fee felt unwelcome, especially given the overall experience. In summary, while the setting is great, the food and service don’t match the high prices.

The food was great, no complaints there. However, we booked through The Fork for 10 p.m., and when we arrived, we were told the kitchen was already closed. The staff made it seem like it was our fault for arriving “late,” even though the booking was accepted at that time. They said they would check if the kitchen could reopen but that we’d need to order very quickly. It made for an uncomfortable start to the meal. On top of that, we ordered spring rolls, but they never arrived—apparently the kitchen couldn’t prepare them anymore, though this wasn’t communicated clearly at the time. Overall, a shame, because the food that we did get was genuinely good.

Amazing food and beautiful place. Service is slow, the staff is not attentive.

+1The location is great! For starters, we had the panipuri and the pastrami green tacos which were great! For the main courses, we had the fung pao beef and the pla tod. The pla tod was amazing! The fung pao beef was well cooked but it wasn't mind blowing, we almost missed the lichies. We felt the sides were poor comparing to the portion served.

Great restaurant within the Pestana palace hotel. Asian food with the best ice cream and marshmallow desert I've ever had!!!! We sat outdoors and the sunset was amazing too! I would highly recommend to make a reservation whether you are staying at the Pestana palace or not. 👏😋

The service was extremely slow, I had to call over the waiter a couple of times for service, and then a 10% service charge was automatically added. They did not have spring rolls or a cocktail i wanted to order. the boa buns were really good and the crispy fingers. the brisket smash burger was overcooked and the bun was not fresh. for being the popular item on the menu it was underwhelming.

+1Amazing experience! The food was excellent — from the starters to the main courses, everything was delicious. The decor is stunning and truly memorable. The service was a bit slow, especially considering the room wasn’t very full, but overall it was a great dining experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Lago by SOI! Despite the heat of a summer day, the dining area was refreshingly cool and welcoming. The perfect setting to relax and enjoy a great meal. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the spring rolls, pakora, and brisket bao, all packed with flavor and beautifully presented. For mains, we tried both the chicken and vegetable green curry, as well as the smash pastrami burger. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of vibrant, balanced flavors. Dessert was a highlight! The Soi Loco was amazing! A must-try. The Thai ice cream and the pineapple colé were also excellent, light and refreshing ways to end the meal. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, offering great suggestions and making us feel truly looked after throughout the whole experience. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We were provided with a dinner menu only, not the "funnier" dishes that I had seen on The Fork when reserving; meat was really tough and the chicken in the salad had a sort of a rancid taste. Overall a very expensive experience for the quality of food, with a kind service and really nice location

Lovely setting, great food. Prices are on the high side, and the 10% tip wasn't properly flagged.

+5The Chinese pavilion is the perfect backdrop for an elevated pan-Asian dining: seafood, vegetables and sauces dance in harmony, lulled by the evening breeze. A special remark for the careful, friendly and warm service - our waiter, Zahid, went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us.

Absolutely loved this place! I will definitely come back. The staff was super nice – our server, Zahid, was very attentive. The food was also very good
6.0
The food was absolutely terrible. Everything tasted like instant food from the supermarket, reheated. I ordered the chicken green curry, which was nothing like a green curry at all. It tasted like a yellow curry and had only four pieces of chicken cubes. The home run sandwich was nothing Asian about it. It was served with fries. It would have been much better if it had been served with an Asian-style salad.

The place itself is really nice, but too expensive for the quality of the food. If you come here for a drink in the summer it might be worth it but prepare to pay 3x the normal amount for a beer or cocktail.

The place is amazing and beautiful but it's too expensive for the type of food (like street food).

Location in the garden of the palace is lovely. The team were very good. Food was very disappointing. Nothing special. Quite basic.
