9.5/10We regularly visit Casa Joao when on holiday in a nearby golf resort. We enjoy their Italian food. The staff are friendly, the food is very good and it's good value. Sesmarias is a little way out from the holiday villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo but Casa Joao is worth visiting and there is usually parking available on the roadside.

10/10Really good food. We had a mixture of pizza, pasta & steak, followed by ice cream of course. All staff were friendly & engaged in conversation with our children which is really important to us.

8.5/10Great rustic restaurant with friendly attentive staff. Best pizza and pasta around so much tastier than the more expensive Italian restaurants and the live music nights are fantastic well worth a visit

8/10The main courses were excellent but the presentation of the deserts were laughable. I thought it was a joke when my 2 scoops of ice cream arrived in a tiny paper cup, accompanied by a small wooden spoon. Scoops were equally tiny!!
