4.5/10On wednesday 12th Nov.2025 me and my family (3 people)webt to your madrid cava baja branch.. We ordered the best (kg 90 euro national cow) 1 kg meat.. Believe me it was almost %60 bone and fat...ı am disappointed... We paid our bill and go out...we could not eat most of meat.. We came from Turkey and ı especially want to go casa julian.. It did not suit to Casa Julian.. I will not recommend anybody..what a pitty! Halil EMECAN

10/10The wait person was very helpful and the maitre d' was really nice to recommend the selection to our budget and liking from the menu. We had the best steak ever. The starter and the desert was terrific.

5/10We were a group of 5. The waiters never showed us the Chuletón. Instead of placing the whole Chuletón properly sliced like in Tolosa, he served pieces to each one of us.

Fantastic food and the local Chuleton was amazing. Besides the service was great, the cook was happy to take a picture at the special oven, which is great.

3.5/10Very limited menu, the food wasn’t great at all: the steak was raw instead of medium rare, fish was raw and tasteless. The staff took a long time to serve and couldn’t really speak English well. For this price, won’t come here again.

9/10As a steak enthusiast this is the place to go, starting off with great bread and amazing quality olive oil. Great wines and the perfect cooking point on the steak. Being very rare on the inside and with an amazing sear outside. If you’re not a based meat eater the steak is not the right plate to choose. And the bell peppers(pimientos) are excellent. (RESERVE A TABLE).

10/10This is a restaurant worth repeating, Food was excellent. We had the Chuleton was really good, as well as the appetizers. Service was good, what you would expect from a Tavern. The neighborhood and the restaurant could be the setting for a late 1800s movie. The crowd having lunch, was really lively....

10/10We had a wonderful time at CJDT. The wait staff encouraged us with great selections, the pricing was very reasonable, and the food was excellent - most notably, the local steak was incredible. Had a lovely evening and highly recommend this location. Our only advice would be to make sure you are seated on the primary floor verses in the lower level.

4/10Fish soup was really good; however there was a bit of undertone that didn’t sit well. As a black person, I know when someone isn’t too happy in my presence and one person in particular made us feel that way. Her tone, condescending demeanor spoke volume. I was eager to eat steak but I had to send it back three times since my request of “well done” was too much to ask for. They made it seem it was a bother. But anyhow, I will say that one of the young ladies who served me wine and fish soup was pleasant even though we could barely understand each other.

10/10Lovely restaurant and the most delicious steak we had in years! Also the starters were really nice. Great staff and atmosphere too. The waiter was so friendly, he came to share the recipe of the delicious salad we had.

10/10Excellent experience! A gem in Madrid. A hand picked selection of food and wines. Must try the peppers and the t-bone. Only one white wine but excellent. You will not be disappointed.

4/10There were Drunk people that were too loud for the other guests and very annoying. The food was reasonable but overpriced. There are several other bistros that offer more and better for a lower price.
