This is not the first time we have eaten at Casa Velha, and once again it didn't disappoint! Food excellent as always, great service and even better that we earned a discount :-) Also, entertained by a Fado performance which even our 16 year old grandson enjoyed! Thank you, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely food, great options and presentation impeccable. Had to wait an few more minutes than normal, but ALL the food was presented at the same time for six of us,and the time definitely we waited we are sure everything was cooked to order not pre prepared. Definitely highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic meal, we visit the algarve a couple of times a year and have often talked about stopping. How glad I am we finally have - this traditional Portuguese restaurant offers a friendly welcome, delicious food and outstanding value. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again in the future.

The dish of the house octopus was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING it came out suspiciously quick. it was not possible for it to be cooked properly in the time it took to arrive at our table. it was blatantly obvious that the octopus was pre- prepared, ot was not cooked anywhere near enough and it was basically cold. The whole dish was chaotic, potatoes were just thrown in and placed, rather then been cooked. This chef insulted your restaurant by giving such low quality food.

If you require good service and tasty food with great portions dine here you will not be disappointed.

Service was adequate considering that they were busy (a few more staff would be advantagous). Nice ambience Food was was fabulous 👌, as always!

The whole family really enjoyed the food, tastes homemade with a great choice on the menu. Excellent wine too! We’ll be back for sure!

We have been coming here for quite a few years. The guy waiting on was ok, but food and service was very mediocre, chipped beer glass, frozen ice cream (full of ice) served in another chipped dessert bowl. Chipboard wall, has been like it for years, so easy to rectify. So overall very disappointed.

Reading the reviews, I expected exceptional but got just good. Paying €4 for "filtered" tap water which would have colder out of the tap set the mood . Meals were pleasant enough but not memorable. Service did not meet usual Portuguese standards. Overall ok but much less than I hoped for

The service was very good, as was the food. We had never been there before, but I am sure we will return again. A pleasing experience and we were happy with our choice

Went last minute, out of season. Staff were excellent and food was great. It was quiet due to time of year so can't really rate the ambience.

We’ve been in Albufeira for a week and have really struggled to find nice food now the season is over. I’m a fussy eater which makes it twice as hard. Casa Velha was a wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and attentive, the food was presented beautifully and was delicious (the chips were so good, I’ve never had any like them!) and dessert was delicious.

Food was superb, lovely setting (terrace at back of restaurant) and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.
