There is quite a wide choice of reasonably priced Portuguese traditional dishes, always quite well served. Wines are a bit more expensive. Service appeared to be under pressure, always looking speedy; as a result they actually brought a wrong dish but quickly corrected.

I didn't know what to expect from a restaurant located in a very touristy place but I found a place offering an extensive list of classical Portuguese dishes at very reasonable prices. The cod loin was generously served and perfectly cooked. The place was very quiet (I arrived early) and the service attentive and efficient. They served a little digestif to close the meal, a gentle touch that has become quite unusual in Lisbon.

One of the best meals we had in Lisbon. The food was superb, the service was prompt ) and we were a party of 10) and the atmosphere is great. Also, save room for dessert!!

My family was immediately made to feel comfortable and welcome at Castro. We were in good hands and served efficiently and flawlessly. The food was fine and it was a pleasure to enjoy our meal and the atmosphere. Gracias.

I enjoyed a great meal at Castro Restaurant and the service was fantastic. The Turbot was cooked beautifully and the accompanying vegetables were sweet and tender.

Our server Nicolas is a polyglot. We don’t speak much Portuguese. He was very gracious and helped us decide what to order. Small and cozy restaurant

The service was fantastic, staff was very good, he made our meal an enjoyable experience, very attentive, food and atmosphere was lovely!

The service is fluent in several languages. However they served us old and smelly cod fish and when we made a word about it politely they told us that is nothing was wrong with our fish and ensured me that its not up to our taste. Truly disappointing!

We felt right at home here, with a chic decor and a varied menu that included many fish, seafood, and meat dishes that are nicely prepared and straight-forward. Expect attentive but relaxed service. The drink and wine list is varied as well. Overall, a very nice value and you will be very satisfied with your decision to dine here..

Delicious gold bream served by very attentive people who speak in english, spanish and portuguese. We also enjoyed the place that was decorated with a tradicional but modern style and was filled by both local and non local people. I definitively recommend it both for couples, friends or family! We’ll come back!

They had a warm and accommodating waiter, but there was an opposite as well. I went there because the Fork app suggested it. They had great cheese to welcome you, the sirloin beef with mushroom was delicious, and the meat was so tender, but the caipirinha was not satisfying (the worst I ever had). They didn’t accept fork pay, and they didn’t know about it. Still recommendable because of the Sirloin beef with mushroom and their awesome cheese????????

Excellent food, nice environment, great and friendly staff. It's our second time in Lisbon, and it's always great to come back. I strongly recommend the Grilled Bacalo.

Castro restaurant was a busy restaurant in Bairro. We had to wait almost 1:30 mins for our food on a Tuesday night. When the food came it was perfect. The food was really good, tasty and good portions!Overall, we had some sangria, beers, water and sodas and some meat, fish and entries for 5 people for 100€. Which is an excellent price for Bairro. No one left hungry! The staff was extremely nice and it was super clean. Overall, it was an excellent restaurant in Bairro! Just the food took too long to come .. what a pity! But thank you for having us :)

Everything was very good and fresh. Service was great and food very typical. Pity for the cheap wooden structure (plywood) that reduces a lot the atmosphere of the place.

Tasty Bacalhau con natas, fair prices. The menu in the restaurant is different than on the fork, this should be updated. Other than that, very satisfied customer

Food was normal/ok and the place is well located in Barrio Alto. But the drinks were bit expensive, 5€ for a bottle of natural water and 13€ for housewine, seem to compensate the discount. We never got the menu with available drinks...

Delicious food, the staff were very professional and kind. Because of Covid we were the only ones, sadly it is hard for such restaurants to keep going so we were happy to have helped them out, if only just a little. Octopus and traditional portugese steak were both great. Also liked the "green" wine.

Always a great choice in Lisboa, incredible Bacalhau a Minhota, very nice people running the services, in the heart of Bairro Alto.
