The Cellar is a unique place with niched in a quiet Paris street with no traffic with a local neighbourhood vibe. Just around the corner are some crowded cafes, and their terrasses, filling the air with conversations. You get to your table, greeted with genuine smiles and warm words from both the waiter and the chef who sees you coming in from his little window as he is busy cooking. You seat on a comfortable chair, your table is set with pretty Japanese like tableware, a few wild flowers and you already feel you are part of a 'happy few" experience. The waiter explains what's on the menu and if you come in hungry, you know that you the short wait is worth. When the food comes, you look at what's in your plate and admire a simple refinement and a generous portion that is being served. Meat or fish and the vegetables come separately, so you can taste them fully. You take your time to enjoy every bite...and you wish you had saved your appetite for desert. We cant eat anywhere else now !

The young man working both as host and server was the absolute best we have ever had. Super friendly, attentive and had great food, wine and post-dinner activity suggestions. Food was excellent and the seating in the lower level was quaint and cooler than the upstairs.

Friendly welcome, great service and most importantly amazing food. I was unsure what to expect with the Japanese/French fusion but was very pleasantly surprised. Amazing flavours and great quality food. Will definitely visit again on my return to Paris!

THIS is the realization of the Paris you see in the movies and dream about. Amazing food, unparalleled service and the most genuine and personable staff we have ever encountered in Paris. We have visited Paris 6 times in the last 8 years and we have always had a wonderful experience, but this blew us away. Geoffrey and Almira are in a class all their own. They treated us like family from the minute we walked in the door and felt like life-long friends by the end of our meal. We will now plan our entire trip around a visit to Cellar and can’t wait to return! A must for anyone, local or tourist visit Paris!

Our favorite restaurant in Paris! Delicious daily fresh menu. They’ve added some tasty new dishes including salmon tartare, miso cod with bonito flakes, waffle & green tea ice cream. All beautifully prepared and presented. The sauces! The beauty! The ambiance! It’s the perfect small restaurant. The owners and staff are simply lovely. They have a downstairs area perfect for a private event. Highly recommend.

A great little restaurant just round the corner from the Cirque d’Hiver - perfect for dinner after the show. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the French-Japanese fusion food was so delicious! We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Paris.

A small, local restaurant with amazing food. Small menu but enough options for everyone. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Started with a shrimp appetizer which had very nice flavors. We all had the sea bass which was absolutely delicious. Simple, fresh ingredients. Finished with a wonderful dessert Worth a visit!

This small restaurant in a “locals” area is really an exceptional find. My wife and I each had the duck - but the standard preparation is with mushrooms which I don’t enjoy. The chef made a special sauce with matcha and miso which was excellent. Very thing wa perfect.

The atmosphere and service are delightful, but the food is the star here. We had duck breast, sea bass, and brioche perdue, and all were incredible. The Japanese-influenced sauces on the main dishes made for an outstanding culinary experience. If you seek extraordinary dining at a reasonable price point, there's only word: Cellar.
