All of the dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavour. The chef is clearly very skillful. We would not hesitate to return. The wine list is not huge but based on our choice of Brouilly excellent value as was the entire experience,

Nice decor, clean and tidy. Slight delay with receiving menu but after that everything was excellent.

The perfect Valentine's evening With subtle and yet well-thought out decoration, the tables were also well-spaced out in the restaurant, so allow privacy. Service was attentive without being intrusive with the right balance of personal familiarity. The food was equisite, and the set menu offered a fine selection of tastes. All in all, a great experience.

Escargot was not flavorful, very little butter and couldn’t taste the shallots. Beef Bourgogne was tender but not seasoned well. No love in the food. Ordered duck and waiter brought beef. I don’t know how this restaurant is staying open.

Warm welcome , good choice of dishes and very reasonably priced for the lunchtime service. Meal was delicious especially the desserts.

We are not happy with Forchette. We booked a table on a Sunday only to arrive from Paris and learn the restaurant was complet! If a phone call is required this should be made clear. Why book online if it doesn’t work?

Wonderful dinner, great cocktails (recommend the Napoleon)! Started with the Burrata des Pouilles which we enjoyed. Magret de Canard (duck) was excellent, and the poultry dish was great too! Made a reservation for the next night before they brought the check. One of the best meals we had during our two week trip in France. UPDATE: Did in fact return the next night, and had Salade de gambas and Le Burger du CHAPEAU (and the burger was THE best burger I had in France over 2 weeks). Absolute perfect final dinner for our 2 week vacation, and if ever back in Versailles would absolutely be back!!

The food was great, good wines to pair with the food. Recommend eating here, but might be best to make a reservation early to be sure to get a table.

We had been really disappointed with the menu options during our recent trip around France but were really pleased to find this restaurant serving original classic food. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. Thank you from the UK.

Members of the staff were very professional, friendly and kind! Very nice interior, lovely tableware. Food was avarage, but I normally don't expect anything more than that on Christmas and new year's eve dinners..

We were happy to see this restaurant still serving local clients more than fifteen years after our last visit to Versailles. The room was certainly bustling at 1:30pm, with almost uniformly a business clientele loudly discussing their work. The food was again superb--especially two entrées, the soup à l'oignan and the camembert roti. Our only issue this time was a stagière who may not make the cut. Must have been her first week, if not her very first day--but the food and ambience easily made up for her difficulties. I would go again any time!

Everything about tonight was fantastic but I must say our waiter made our evening from the moment we walked in! Unfortunately we did not get his name. He was so accommodating and gracious! I suppose I could describe him, black hair shaved around the bottom. He was wearing a Chapeau sweater. Thank you so much!

Very bad experience. We booked a table for 6 persons and arrived on time. We got the menus after 20 minutes and it took the food (5 main courses and 1 entree as there are no vegetarian options besides 2 types of salads). It took the food OVER AN HOUR, to be served. When we did get it it was very disappointing. Hamburger dish which includes absolutely no vegetables (not a slice of tomato, onion nor pickles). Just a piece of meet inside a ban. It came with a very small kids-meal like portion of fries which also felt as if they were reheated. This was also the side dish for the steak tartare alongside a “salad” which included some small portion of not fresh lettuce and exactly 3 halves of a cherry tomato. To be avoided.

We had a delicious meal. Salmon with broccoli and red cabbage, and fish and chips. Excellent service!

Fantastic dinner, superb service, highly recommended. Desserts, duck, fish, hamburgers, charcuterie, everything was beautifully plated and the waiter paid special attention to our tired, hungry kids with popcorn and drinks right away. Fantastic historic family restaurant

An easy walk from the Palace of Versailles, this little restaurant was bustling on Sunday evening when I stopped in for dinner. The waiter was very friendly but rushing a lot - I think the restaurant was possibly a little understaffed or did not expect such a rush at dinnertime. The food was tasty and comforting, though the quality of the beef in my boeuf bourguignon was a little bit disappointing; here was lots of connective tissue and much of it was inedible. The sauce and vegetables were delicious, though.

We had dinner here with our young children and a friend early on a weekday and not only was the meal delicious, the people working here were wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate our party and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Thank you to the people working there, it was a highlight of our visit.

Our server was very nice and welcoming inspite being busy. We like the ambiance but I was disappointed with my dish. The chicken was very dry. The moment I poked it with my fork, I could already tell how dry it was. I told our server and she tried to explain that it’s cooked that way. She asked if I want more sauce. I’ve had several chicken dishes in my life and can confidently say that this one was very dry. Despite that, my sisters and I tried to enjoy the rest of our dining experience.

An excellent meal on our first night in Versailles. Good menu was matched with excellent food. Delightful service with a good ambience for our romantic dinner.
