8.5/10The environment is amazing and the service is very friendly but it took us almost 2 hours to get the whole meal served. The food was really nice we had bacalhau and we had the steak on the bread (that was a bit dry) and at the desert we got farofias and sweet rice that was a bit original but not the best we ever had. it has a very nice view of the city but we did not got a good table and we were very far from the view

10/10Amazing views all over Lisbon, friendly staff, nice wine and food. Bar downstairs also but we didn’t go to it. We ate starters of tuna sashimi, meat croquettes and something else, then main of beef rib, tuna with peppercorn sauce. All lovely

9/10The restaurant has a very nice view and also the ambient is very romantic in you are in the terrace. The dishes are very tasty and well cooked. We tried the new dishes from the chef Alexander Botelho, who’s coming from Masterchef, they were really good and we also spoke with him, he’s a good chef with a strong energy and his plates represent a lot him.

9/10Lovely hidden away space, both downstairs in the terrace area and upstairs in the restaurant where we sat. We dined early and so managed to get a great table with beautiful views over the city for sunset, which we'd highly recommend. The food was high quality and very tasty, especially the mushroom acorda and service was prompt and friendly. Would love to go again, would be great with a group.

10/10Wonderful service by all the staff. Good was outstanding and the views are spectacular upstairs. (You will need to climb a very narrow spiral staircase) The hostess was very helpful and even arranged a cab to get us back to our hotel…dark narrow roads are not my thing to walk at night.

10/10A quirky venue situated just under the impressive walls of Castelo de São Jorge we had a table with a view to die for with a river and city panorama. Food and drinks were excellent as was the friendly service. In the glass entrance / lobby there are tempting local crafts for sale adding to the whole ambience. Great fun.

9/10The location of Chapito a Mesa is perfect with views over Lisbon's rooftops and to the water beyond. The service by the waitstaff was very good and attentive. The food quality was also very good and in many cases quite creative. My only minor complaint was that the night we were there (celebrating my 70th birthday) one of the two menu items that were not available was the rib eye steak. With the exception of beef cheeks, there was no other beef item on the menu with the steak not available. And yes, Lisbon is noted for its seafood (and that's what we ordered), but a steak item is such a basic selection on any restaurant's menu. Must have been a supply company issue. Other than that, it was a nice night.

10/10What a beautiful 3 story restaurant tucked in by the castle. The views of the river & bridge are phenomenal, but the food was amazing as well! Don’t skip on the rice pudding dessert, OMG 🤤

6/10Amazing views and service was great but so let down by the food. We booked a table upstairs which suggested it was a level above the other restaurant but Vegetarian with us had to have salad and chips as that was only option; the tuna was just drowned in sauce with chips added in. Only the Guinea fowl seemed worth it. We mentioned we had a special birthday both on the booking and on the night and all that was offered was a candle in one of the puddings that another of the group had ordered! Very disappointed

6/10Visited many times over the years usually with visitors to Lisbon. Always a hit with our guests. Not this time. The whole feel has changed. No warm atmosphere. Not enough staff and mistakes made. Food still good but doesn’t make up for the rest. It’s a shame. Will not return. Better alternatives.

4/10We had a reservation upstairs but opted for the terrace restaurant as the menu seemed to be a better fit for our kids. We had been sitting down for 20’ when they told us only 3 of the 8 mains were available that night. Service was very slow and food was overpriced. The main dish took more than 1h to arrive and was terrible. Disappointing experience.

5.5/10the service was slow. it took them too long to serve our food. the starter was a plate with tomatoes that were over matured. the main dishes (meat) were not bad, but not cooked at the write point. the only thing that we enjoyed was the view from the window (something that we had asked with our reservation ).

10/10One of the finds of our Lisbon trip. Don't be put off by the outside as the restaurant is absolutely superb, the food is of excellent standard and the service first class. Miss it and weep!

6/10The food was delicious and the view was amazing but the service was absolutely terrible. As a single traveler, I'm used to eating on my own and this was the first time a restaurant made me feel invisible and as if I was an imposition to them. The servers were not friendly and when my meal came, instead of waiting the 30 seconds it would take for me to move the cutlery out of the way, the server put her arm on them and moved them. Once I finished, the servers walked by at least 4 times before they cleared my plate and not once did they ask if I wanted more wine or water so I went an entire 90 minute meal with a single glass of wine and water. Not a great dining experience given the price.
