Came for dinner only as stayed here in 2014 for a wedding and wanted to re-visit. Ambience spoilt by loud Brits which I know isn’t the fault of the establishment but annoying nonetheless. First gripe was ordering - waiter presented a little card with QR codes on which requires the internet. As we were not staying, I did not have internet access. They brought out a plastic covered version of the menu. When I asked for a wine list I was presented with an iPad. Difficult to view the choices properly but selected a white wine. When it arrived it was a ‘vintage’ bottle and tasted like old sherry. Waiters rushed around and generally looked after the guests but the menu was odd - a lot of savoury pairings with sweet and vice versa. Reception deserted when we went to pay the bill. The chateau is a wonderful property in a lovely location but we won’t be returning.

I hate to say anything negative about a restaurant, particularly after the huge set-back of COVID from which they’re all still recovering in so many ways - not just financially but in terms of staffing too. So I’ve taken a few days to think about this before posting. We were served a bad wine - a pinot gris that had been in the bottle for over a decade and a half bottle at that. The young man who served it was obviously appalled but left it to me to complain, which I didn’t. Perhaps I lack the aplomb to send a wine back and still manage to enjoy a pleasant meal out with my wife. It had oxidised & tasted like sherry plus I had no confidence that it could be replaced with a better bottle. Best to just enjoy the meal, thank them & go - never to return.

Beautiful setting, the food was excellent and the service was great. It was a relaxing atmosphere and there was a set menu for lunch with a good choice of home cooked food.

This is the second time we have been here. The first time was in 2015. Yet again we were impressed. The service was wonderful the young man that helped us was very charming. The setting feels for regal. The food is out of this work. Every dish was stunning. It would be hard to make a recommendation on what to eat because they were all delicious. The wine menu it top quality and the prices range from affordable to expensive. Something for everyone. We will defiantly be back and recommend this place to friends and family.

Really nice ambience. Starter “cepes “ was very good Main course “Cabillaud royale” was too cooked for me. The dessert “chocolate “ was delicious. Overall, it is a place to recommend without hesitation if you’re visiting the area.
