I chose this restaurant as it was one of the top rated restaurants in catania on the fork app. it's rating is very appropriate. my booking was early on in the evening so we were the only party but it got busier around 9pm. the staff were very accommodating and were really polite. the food was beyond expectations. I would highly recommend if you are in catania.

Excellent food dishes prepared. to perfection. HIGHLY RECOMENDED. Nice quiet, clean a little out of the way, but worth the walk. Had the seafood pasta and the eggplant with ricotta both very good.

We just arrived to Catania and found this restaurant by chance. It was a great start to our time in the city, the food was well presented and absolutely delicious, and the service was kind and attentive. Definitely recommended!

This restaurant served tasty and inventive dishes and was incredibly gluten free friendly. We had a cooked “carpaccio” of veal with mustard greens that was flavorful (one portion was more than sufficient for 2 - same for all of the dishes, which we shared). The gf pasta with white ragu was heavenly and the secondi - a beef “lasagna” with a layer of potato and zucchini - was delicious. They have a large wine list and a variety of amaros for after dinner. The desserts we chose - prickly pear gelato and an Etna pear cooked beautifully and magically stuffed with ricotta was well balance - caramelized and creamy all at once.

A little walk from what I would say was the tourist centre - but well worth the effort. Chef Dede is a talented chef. We enjoyed the sardines with fennel and orange, Guinea fowl and Dorade with pistachio crumb. All prepared and cooked very well. Only comment would be that the vegetables with the fish is actually a salad. The waiting staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Sadly the rating doesn’t really reflect our enjoyment of the meal.

This restaurant was a good place to have dinner. The staff was helpful, although the wait for the food was a bit long, it was well worth it. We ordered lasagna which was non-conventional, but tasted super good. I would recommend visiting this place upon staying in Catania.

We ate at Chef Dede because of the very good reviews. Although it was quiet when we were there (we were quite early), we had a great experience. The food was excellent, with the fish being really fresh and delicious. Staff were wonderfully helpful, offering advice and able to make useful suggestions. Not only was the food lovely, but our wine was excellent, too. The restaurant should have been packed with the food and service it offers.

Impeccable service, great food and a lovely ambience! I would recommend the smoked tuna carpaccio, the mahi mahi, and the enta pear dessert. The pumpkin ricotta ravioli was a bit underwhelming, but the other dishes were fantastic. The portions were smaller than average but perfect for a four course meal for two. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone staying in Catania.

It was a joke . this 7 people on the restaurant say about all you need to know. food no good ,to long waiting..almost 45minute for the first course ,pasta never comes what I ask even if I make 3 attempts, it was really a joke,no tasty at all.

The fresh fish combination starter was absolutely fantastic and the grilled octopus on mashed potatoes so tasty. The pistachio crusted swordfish was amazing and the stuffed calamari with ricotta was excellent. The best seafood restaurant for price we have ever experienced!!

Judging by the reviews and menu we were so excited to eat here. It’s not traditional rustic Italian but has a cool, clean ambience (can only eat inside). Sadly the food was distinctly basic. It took 40 mins for pasta to arrive, we both ordered the sea urchin dish which was underwhelming and overpriced. For mains (another 40 min wait) we ordered Guinea fowl. This was literally some seared Guinea fowl on a slice of potato- very plain with no red wine jus as the menu suggested. The service however was impeccable and they were really understanding and gave us money off the bill. The wine also was excellent, as was the olive oil they served. A shame about the food, otherwise it would be a stellar experience.

I never provide reviews, but this was a truly exceptional meal. There seems to be a lot of promotion for this restaurant on this website and others, so I was a little suspicious. But in fact, it was delightful in every way, and the food was astounding. I had a pasta with a kind of whipped ricota and quid ink surrounding it for first course, and an amazing fish in pistachio for the second course. Waiters were very friendly. Just had recommended Sicilian wines by the glass and they were very good too.

This restaurant served me an excellent seafood dinner. They had other dishes on the menu that tempted me, but I decided I needed to have some seafood. I ordered pasta with shrimp, mussels, and tomatoes for my primi, and white tuna crusted with pistachios for my secondi. At my request, the waitress selected a bottle of white wine to accompany the dinner. An amuse bouche consisting of some smoked fish with greens, a sliver of tomato, and a drizzle of dressing came out first. It was then I knew I was in for a treat. This was probably the best seafood pasta I’d had since Venice last year. The tuna was delicious, and the wine complemented the food.
