10/10From the moment we arrived we were treated to superb service. We were seated by the window with a beautiful view and provided with a delectable amuse bouche. We followed with an incredible appetizer, the most amazing bouillabaisse, a very good (recommended) wine pairing, and an espresso to finish. We enjoyed our table for two hours, comfortable and never rushed. I highly recommend Chez Fonfon!

Chez Fonfon definitely lives up to the hype. I had the bouillabaisse and it was absolutely delicious! The service and ambience were fantastic. I would definitely recommend coming here.

10/10I booked Chez Fonfon for a group of 10 international colleagues and the service and food were excellent. The restaurant is calm and elegant with a beautiful view. They were very patient with people of different native languages and accents and explained the food choices thoroughly. The wine choices were also excellent and we all had a very enjoyable experience.

9.5/10Everything about my food, dining, and service experience was excellent and I recommend this restaurant without reservation. The only reason my review is not a 10 is because as a solo person, I expect the same amenities as other diners. But instead of being offered a window table overlooking the little harbor, I was offered a table off to the side in a corner by myself. I had a reservation, I arrived on time and before others, and there were tables available. I don't think solo diners should be treated differently.

We came here for dinner and had a Bouillabaisse and one meat dish with vegetables and lamb. Both dishes were delicious and very well served. The Bouillabaisse is expensive but you can eat as much as you can and the quality of the fish is very good. We also recommended the wine rosé. The service was very attentive, and the place where the restaurant is located is very pretty and worth visit

3/10My visit to this restaurant was far from satisfying. The flavors in the food were dominated by an excessive fishy taste, which was quite off-putting. In addition, the service was lackluster; staff didn't attend to our table for orders or wine service. Overall, it was a subpar experience, especially considering the high prices.

8.5/10Extraordinary food served in a room overlooking the Mediterranean. Unfortunately it was a very warm day and the AC was not working well. There was also considerable construction noise. The service was typically French, e.g., the waiter seemed shocked that we wanted a beer after hiking in the heat to find the place (not obvious on Google Maps). But the food was sensational - the Bouillabaisse, the Aioli, the tuna -- cannot be missed when you go to Marseille!

10/10Everything was great, the food, ambiance and service. The bouillabaisse is a must, but also all fresh fish! Only negative moment, when the rest of the tables were being served all of the waiters ignored us for a long time, but just because they were too busy.

2/10That s what I call an overrated and overpriced restaurant. First of all, they have a real issue with their booking system, pretend to be always full given their online platform, do not answer phones. While restaurant was half empty when we arrived. Our waitress was extremely stressful and didn’t make our experience great, I felt like I had to justify all my choices and treated like a kid. The food is really average and very pricy. The view is OK but no outdoor terrasse. The restaurant next door seem to have a better setup and better atmosphere. Never again

5/10Food: fine, not amazing. Service: Very slow. Got water and amuse bouche only after asking, and menus came only when we asked for them, another 15+ minutes later (and waiter expressed surprise that we would want a menu). Facilities: For the price point, it was a surprise at how run-down some of the facilities were, such as toilets not flushing properly.

Got a really good table even though I was by myself. Great service. Well informed, friendly and very helpful. Super wine knowledge, attentive without being over the top. I loved it. Observed that non French speaking guests were served just as well as locals. Cudos to the restaurant for doing that! Food was good, seafood really fresh, gratinated mussels and razor clams excellent, if I can just say I would have loved a bit more flavour in the Bouillabaisse. Loved the way they show you the fish that goes in it. Loved the way it was served, serving generous, but a bit more punch wouldn’t go astray.

5.5/10Food was okay after all the hype. Service is terrible especially the check in ppl, they didn’t bother of looking if you made reservation or not. Fork confirmation means nothing to them.

8/10The food was lovely, but as many say, way too overpriced. We paid eur 180 for two bouillabaisse and a bottle of orange wine. Having says that, it seems to be in line with prices in town as bouillabaisse is rather expensive everywhere.
