6/10Service was average. The food was very disappointing. I had the arugula salad with shrimp and some smoked salmon. There were also large portions of fairly tasteless guacamole. It was a very odd pairing and the shrimp were not completely shelled and slightly overcooked. I ordered the skate which was well cooked and very tasty but very difficult to bone and there was no room on my plate to place the large skeleton. Tasteless croutons and a sprinkling of arugula added nothing to the dish. My husband fared better with the pate as a starter which he enjoyed although felt it was only average and his salmon was well cooked with a nice sauce and good vegetables. They did honor the 50% discount offered by Fork.

10/10We were here just this weekend and it was great, right in the middle of the Latin Quarters with a nice terrace and sun. The food was amazing and service was great, the staffs are very accommodating and it was just great.

We chose this restaurant because the app said you could pay with yams, but that wasn’t true. There was also no 50% discount as promised. That might be forgivable if the food were good—but it wasn’t. The dishes were sloppily made and overpriced. We tried chicken liver terrine, salmon gravlax, truffle linguine, and duck Parmentier. The salmon was too citrusy, the terrine dry, the duck oversalted with tough arugula on top. Only the linguine was decent. Desserts—floating island and seasonal fruit—were disappointing: tasteless, sour, and a tiny portion of mango sorbet. The waiters were quick but kept pacing around aimlessly. When we asked about app payment, the administrator got defensive and aggressive. Overall, a letdown for the price. Wouldn’t return.

10/10Very satisfied with both the service and the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and left us wanting more. The onion soup was cheesy and delicate, the snails were unexpectedly tasteful, and both the choccolate mousse & rice pudding perfectly satisfied our sweet tooth. The protagonists were the braised beef chuck & the duck; simply perfect, so tender they melt in your mouth. Lastly, the atmosphere was intimate the red light made it hot; great music too.

2.5/10Do not go here it is a tourist trap and you can get a good meal anywhere else. We reserved the valentine's day menu and was sorely disappointed. Both my girlfriend and I picked the same dishes. The foie gras & the beef and we both picked different desserts. The foie gras was okay and we were given a generous amount of bread yet only two teaspoons worth of jam. The beef was also dry. Our desserts were okay. I had ordered the French toast while my girlfriend ordered the mousse. We both found our desserts too sweet. To top it all off the waiter even asked for a tip, the only waiter in our whole week in Paris to even do so. If it weren't for the tip, I wouldn't have written this review otherwise.

4/10Well located, good decoration. But food and service were really bad. No wonder they gave such a big discount. Even then, not worth it! Not to mention that I was notified as if I didn't show up. The waiter forgot to register our presence.

7/10They had a New Year’s Eve menu and said it was the only option for the New Year’s Eve dinner and when we said we would leave because we were hoping for the A La Carte Menu, they said ‘okay order from the menu but don’t show anyone’. We tried to look at the menu secretly and we felt uncomfortable. The food was fine but all the time we felt like they were doing us a favor instead of giving us service.

10/10We visited on Christmas Day and had the set menu. The food was incredible, so tasty and nice. Portion sizes were excellent too. The service was also amazing and all staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is cosy and has a lovely warm atmosphere. It is also nicely decorated and laid out very well. We sat at a table in the window which was nice to watch the world go by. Would highly recommend a visit to Chez Moineau!
