9.5/10Groups of lively, friendly young people surrounded us. As visitors from the United States, we could see that the restaurant is popular with local Parisians. We enjoyed our conversations with them. And the food was delicious.

6/10There is a lack of ambiance in this place. TV supposed to show football , but it does not, yet it stays on. Seating really uncomfortable for large group like ours. Owner needs to focus those important details, on top of the food!

10/10Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. Really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the “indecision” and it was totally unexpected, but amazing. Would definitely come again.

2/10We made a reservation for 20h. After waiting 15 minutes our table is accidently given to people without reservation as clearly announced by the head of house to the waitress (I was standing right there). I receive no apology. At 20 minutes past the hour my +1 tells the head of house that we are leaving and that their treatment of us was not acceptable. Instead of apologizing, the head of raised his voice at us and told us we can continue to wait. A back-and-forth ensued and we left to eat at a competitor. I've been eating here for 3 years and will never come back. Not only can you not offer an apology for not having our table + then giving it away, you refuse to accept any responsibility for poor service and lack of organization.

2/10The waiter was so irritating that we left after 5 minutes without ordering anything. This was concluded independently by my wife (who came earlier) and myself when I arrived some minutes later not knowing her impressions. The guy was simply rude and totally unwelcoming.

5.5/10We chose Chez Papa at Montparnasse because of many previous good experiences… Granted the last one was four years ago. We had a reservation for seven people at 7 PM. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but it took a good 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table for drink orders/menu suggestions. The server was lackadaisical at best, no matter how nice we were or how we tried to engage, he just refused to really engage. The food was quite good, so I don’t want to take away from that, but if that had been my first time there I would never go back… The cherry on top was when we left a 15% tip, and the server came back and said “what do I do with the extra change”, I replied “ it is for you”, he never even bother to say thank you… As I said, I will never bring people back here… Embarrassing!

10/10We ate here many times 20 years ago. The food is just as delicious as it was then. Staff were lovely. I hope to be back sooner this time. Highly recommended

10/10Everything was perfect! Staffs are very kind and never made me wait. The food was excellent. All of my family enjoyed the food. The ambience was cozy. This restaurant is definitely one of the tops I've ever been in Paris. I strongly recommand to visiting there and I will visit again.

9/10Clearly a favourite with the locals of a Sunday evening, but also welcoming to us as tourists. Friendly, attentive staff. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Very reasonably priced beer for the Denfert area!
