Honestly, it’s the best mountain restaurant I’ve been to I the alps. Relaxed, reasonably priced, but everything is done with obvious care and love. Great food (especially deserts), the best beer, charming service. An essential visit.

10/10I absolutely loved the entire experience at Chez Pépé Nicolas. Arriving by ski already makes it special, but the place itself is even more charming once you get there. The decor has so much character without feeling pretentious — a beautiful, authentic mountain chalet atmosphere. Each table has a hat for sun protection and little blankets, which makes it extra cozy while enjoying the incredible views. The waitresses were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service felt very warm. There’s also a small decoration shop on site that is absolutely lovely, full of beautiful mountain-style pieces. I had some delicious cheeses and ordered the ice cream tasting, which I loved. Everything was wonderful. It’s one of those places where the whole experience comes together perfectly — food, setting, and atmosphere. I already can’t wait to go back.

9/10This is my favourite restaurant in the 3 Valleys and I have been coming here at least once a year for 10 years. The views from the terrace are unmatched! Spectacular! The interior decor and overall ambience is also on another level. My only gripe this year was we had an indoor table which was next door to the open door to the terrace, it had all the cold air without the benefit of sunshine. Thankfully the fantastic staff moved us mid-meal...It's now a very popular restaurant and while the food is good, we found equally good, if not better food elsewhere and with better value for money. As a location though you still can't beat this place!

We’re pleased that you appreciated the quality of the service, but we’re sorry to read that the access and the food did not meet your expectations. Access to our restaurant is indeed specific, as we are located in a mountain environment. This is why we systematically send clear access instructions in advance and offer a free shuttle service when ski access is not possible, to ensure our guests can reach us comfortably. Regarding the food, we regret that it did not suit your taste. Our cuisine is based on carefully selected products and traditional recipes, and the vast majority of our guests appreciate this approach. That said, we understand that tastes can differ. We remain attentive to feedback and always aim to improve, and we thank you for sharing your experience.

In the middle of January , sunshine 🌞 and Blue Sky …..permitted our group of 8 to eat OUTSIDE On the terrasse 😊 with a reservation at noon 🕛 weather -3c to + 3c Valentin , the manager and family member , Was very welcoming and responded quickly to our demands.

3.5/10We have been many many times to Pepe Nicolas. This was by far the worst experience as the food took ages, was not up to standard and some had to be sent back!

Went to Chez Pépé with a group of 6, everything about the restaurant its location, service and food made it a very special memorable night. The walk up to the restaurant in the dark was so atmospheric with the trial being lit with lamps (grippy boots are useful here). We also enjoyed the shop as a little detour given we stayed locally in Reberty so didn’t have similar nearby. The service and food was excellent.

Everything about this restaurant is fabulous. The food, the service and the view are wonderful - so good that we returned the next day! The farm with the goats coming in to be milked was a special experience especially for the children.

7/10Food and location were great, as always. But we waited 25 minutes between our starters and main courses, and were only served after having to point out that we had been waiting that long! A shame, as this poor service, spoilt what was otherwise a good meal

10/10Incredible meal. We were in Val Thorens for about a week and this was one of our favorite meals. Service and food were perfect, but the view during the lunch of the surrounding alps was what set this place apart.
