10/10Everything about AnontiMax was incredible. We were staying at a Villa close by and discovered this gem driving through Castelnuovo Berardenga- such a quaint and sweet town. The menu was very unique in the best way possible- different from a "traditional Italian" meal which is just what we were looking for on day 8 of our trip. Our waitress was just the sweetest, very attentive and helpful. Max, the owner, was incredibly friendly and chatted with us for quite sometime- overall one of our best meals in Italy. I got the gnocchi and tuna- My husband got the Tagliolini and Venison (both recommendations from our waitress) and they were ALL delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough- and we hope to be back! Thank you so much Max for a memorable experience!

10/10Loved this place!! Just devastated it was near the end of our holiday. The food was superb and expertly cooked, incredible flavours and such a beautiful backdrop. 100% recommend.

10/10Excellent! This will be the restaurant that I talk about when people ask me about our trip to Italy. We made a reservation and were immediately greeted as we walked up and sat just as quickly. The table was in a covered open-air area. In the evening, the temperature and breeze were perfect for a quiet meal. The staff was friendly, and was great at communicating. The atmosphere was quiet and allowed us (table of four) to have a conversation with ease. The food was amazing! I ordered the deer with vegetables and used the bread to clean my plate (the sauce was so good). I would highly recommend this restaurant, even if it is 15-20 miles away, it is well worth the trip.

9.5/10This restaurant developed from a medium quality into a top quality level over the past few years. Nice choice on the menu, great quality of the ingredients (grilled squid, burrata al tartufo, codfish, pork fillet) and nicely dressed plates too. Great choice on the wine list. Friendly staff, welcome aperitif and a grappa to finish the evening. Only negative remark: it’s too dark on the terrace. A lamp on the table can make a difference. For the rest: top!

10/10From our arrival to departure, we were shown only the kindest attention. The food was truly memorable and beautifully presented, and when we asked about our drinks, the staff gave us helpful replies which made the most of their extensive wine list, as well as the many local products. This is a very pleasant place to sit and appreciate Tuscan food and drink. We would return if we were staying longer in the area. Thank you to Max and his team.

10/10Excellent food in a comfortable and personable setting. One expects to eat well in Tuscany and it can be difficult for a restaurant to distinguish itself from the competition, yet this is exactly what AntoniMax has accomplished. With a living menu that is updated according to what is seasonally available, the kitchen produces outstanding meals across all four courses. The wine selection represents the best of the local area with offerings to serve all budgets. Max and the wait staff are consistently attentive, a feature sometimes missing in Italian restaurants. The bottom line: AntoniMax is our new must-visit when we are in Tuscany and I look forward to many more excellent meals. Grazie, Max.

10/10Second time in and once again the food and service was excellent and Max is a perfectionist at explaining the preparation in making the meal taste as well as it does - my wife and I want to say thank you for making our last meal in Tuscany a special one!!

10/10Another outstanding evening at Anonima. My sixth visit and it hits the mark every time. Tonight everyone was thrilled with their starters, main courses and deserts. The waiter suggested an outstanding local special selection 2010 Chianti that was superb.

10/10An outstanding evening. Ambiance, service, wine, food, and desert well above the standard restaurant in this area. I have been in this area for many years and am very impressed with this restaurant. I will return every opportunity that I have in the future.

10/10Una serata piacevole, in un ambiente accogliente e amichevole. Personale cortese, cibo ottimo e buona varietà del menu, con materie prime locali e di alta qualità. A pleasant evening in a friendly environment. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a familiar and cosy atmosphere. Excellent food and good menu choices, with local and first quality food. Reception and waiters were very helpful and cordial. Had a great dining outside experience here. Excellent food and a very kind and attentive atmosphere

10/10Absolutely charming little restaurant, with locals and just us and another couple as tourists. The guys pay a lot of attention to you, they are extremely professional and helpful, while being spontaneous. The antipasti with small bites of grilled fish was tasty, and the basic vino della casa (San Giovese grapes), for 3€/bicchiere, is great.
