We were assigned a table in a corner next to the service dresser. This meant a constant interruption when waiters needed cutlery, plates, etc. The drawers were pulled into the back of my chair and on one occasion a waiter climbed over me to get a tablecloth, completely unacceptable.

I used to love this place — it was one of my favorite restaurants, known for its great seafood and meat. But I went back on Thursday night with a good friend, and it was a huge disappointment. The meat was awful: not just fatty, but full of nerves and completely inedible. We could not eat more than 40% of it. We complained, but the staff simply did not care. After many years of being loyal customers, we will not return. Be aware that the discounts offered may come at the cost of quality and service. Sadly, this restaurant is no longer what it used to be.

This place is a hidden gem. Don’t judge a book by its cover. On the outside it doesn’t say much and chances are you’d skip it. But the dining room is old school, the service is first class, and most importantly, the food is PHENOMENAL! I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Delicious Foods, thanks to the Chef. It would be better if you have menus written in other languages. It was complicated for us to order. Fortunately, the waiter who speaks English was very nice and friendly. Some waiters, a little bit rude. The service is fast, but some waiters could be friendlier even though they don’t speak our languages. Otherwise, we’re very satisfied with the meals. Thank you.

Favorite restaurant in Madrid, been here several times. The seafood was very fresh and the personnel were very friendly and welcoming. Very close to where I live, in a quiet neighborhood, highly recommend coming. The sangria was very good!

Really nice food and very good price with the discount. Little bit of wait between dishes but understandable for a Saturday lunch

We were in the restaurant first time and ordered a fish in salt, for two. The dish was delicious. Service was very friendly and kind. The price is a bit high, but 30% discount of Fork, made price reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We loved the food and the service was superb. The steak for 2 was the bomb! I would go back for sure.

Amazing food and ambiance - the wine and dessert were also delicious.

The food has super good quality, but it’s also pretty expensive, as expected… Service was also great. Quite loud but, yeah, it’s spain. Overall, very good restaurant.

Chiquito Riz was recommend by our hotel. My spouse and I noted that it offered a 40% discount when booked through The Fork. Our main waiter seemed pleasant and professional, however, when I ordered an appetizer (the Galician style octopus) and the merluza as my second plate, he started to leave the table before taking my spouses order. We stopped him and told him that my spouse wanted the entrecote. He responded that my spouse should wait until he eats the merluza then if he wants more than he can order the entrecot! This seemed like an odd response. I ordered the merluza for myself, however, he took it upon himself to order the same for my spouse. In the moment of confusion, we shrugged our shoulders and assumed that perhaps the merluza was large and shareable. I ordered a bottle of one the recommended red wines. He stated that that particular wine was out. He said he would bring me the wine menu. Instead, he brought another bottle of different wine to the table, He said it was cheaper (más económico) than the one that we wanted. We took his recommendation and kept the one that he brought to us. At the end of the meal, we noticed that the merluza was not shareable. We ended up being charged for 2 whole orders of merluza!!! In addition, we noted that the name of the wine that we were charged was not the one that he brought us!! In addition, it cost a euro more than the original one that we wanted. On my Vivino app, I looked up the one that he brought us and the one that was shown on the bill. The one on the bill was retail TWICE the cost of the one we actually drank. It all seemed very deceptive. In reading other reviews, it seems that there are issues when one books through The Fork to get the 40% discount. In addition, we were charged for bread, olives, and potatoes covered in aoli. We were not asked if we wanted nor told that there was a charge. Again, it all felt wrong. Naturally, we relayed our experience to the hotel in the hope that they will never recommend this place to anyone else. Regretfully, the food was okay, but the experience was not comfortable. Even with the discount on the food, we paid 92.93€ which seemed expensive compared to the quality (and the experience).

We decided to try Chiquito Riz thanks to The Fork and the 40% a la carte offer; the reviews were positive and we concur with others' experiences--a classic Spanish restaurant with quality products and an excellent wait staff. We enjoyed the "aperitivo" of potatoes 'alioli' and the bread was very good. A bottle of Rioja wine was reasonably priced. The meat with fries was excellent and the grilled prawns very good. We were too full for dessert. I would return, with or without the 40% offer.

Never again! A seemingly professional crew turned gradually into smart y pants when wanting to cancel a dish way before being served (couldn't be done, too late they claimed) and later when questioned about the exorbitant price charged for an appetizer: saying after not knowing how to get out of it that artichokes are offered by piece (where, what country?) . They should be of your listing.

Very nice waiter, great food especially the steak and tataki!

The prices are a bit high, but the food is delicious. The atmosphere is nice but a bit noisy due to Spanish people speaking outloud. I had a very good discount, which lead to 73 euros, without the discount the bill would go to 100 euros for 2 people, which is something.

very nice spain food! Especially the beef steak, it's delicious! And I book it thru the fork, there is 40% discount! That's great!
