Our experience became memorable even before the restaurant officially opened — we were kindly welcomed and allowed to use the restroom, which already showed the generosity and warmth of the staff. From that moment on, everything was exceptional: the service was caring and personal, we were offered a special dish from the chef, and you could feel the love for the restaurant and for cooking in every detail. The dishes were not only delicious — they were literally beautiful and artistic, like edible works of art. You could see and taste the intention and passion behind each plate. Dining here felt like soul care — being in a space where you’re truly welcomed, and where the people clearly love what they do and where they are. Thank you for such a beautiful and heartwarming experience!

7.5/10The food is very good, and the restaurant is located outside the typical tourist area. However, the service was quite slow between courses. That said, it’s still a highly recommended restaurant.

+1Ciauru Anticu is our favourite restaurant. Daniel has created a superb menu, the food is exceptional. Front of house, Teresa gives the warmest welcome. Tonight will be our fifth visit and we look forward to returning to Ortigia and Ciauru Anticu. Thank you Daniel and Teresa.

10/10Quiet, romantic inside along with outdoor seating. Wonderful music and superb dishes all around the table. Fish was cooked perfectly and was obviously very fresh. Family vibe in a small place. Highly recommended!

10/10What a find! Absolutely delicious food and extraordinary service. The restaurant is very small and intimate. Each dish is beautifully prepared with excellent ingredients - you can just feel how much this chef cares about every dish that goes out from the kitchen. This was absolutely the best meal we have had as we have travelled through Sicily.

10/10Teresa is a real Italian chef ! Black pig carbonara the best in Sicily!!! Wow! Fresh raw seafood plate was amazing . And she personally presents every meal with the pride she deserves. Best food in one month in Italy. I chose this restaurant when walking by on a remote street in Ortigia by the smell . This is the country style cooking that none of the tourist restaurants have . I only discovered on my last night of eating out for a week in Ortigia but I would have eaten there every night . Thank you Teresa!! Anthony ,Nancy and Lucy the Maltese .

10/10The food was lovely. We had mixed seafood to start which was all delicious. Then shared two pasta dishes (between 3). Everything was freshly cooked, absolutely delicious and we couldn’t have asked for more. Very attentive service and excellent wine too. Brava!

+4The waitstaff took the time to explain various dishes in detail. She went over the types of fresh fish offerings and their preparation. In addition, the chef deboned and plated our fish table side. He also came by toward the end of the meal to see whether our meal was adequately prepared. Our dishes were amazing! So fresh and prepared perfectly. The best meal we’ve had during our two week stay.

The service was great. The food was fresh and tasty. The wine very good. We had the fish of the day made in the oven with a shell of salt. A different méthod to cook the fish and interesting for us.
