10/10We enjoyed a fabulous Chef’s Choice menu with wine pairings. Friendly wait staff was attentive to our every need. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

10/10It is a place drawn from the memorable past, incredibly classy and special in all its aspects. The food is absolutely delicious and homemade, with specialities from the region of Basilicata. It was a unique experience for a food and wine lover!

10/10Absolutely fabulous restaurant!! Ambience is old school romantic and very quiet. Service is impeccable. Great food, value, presentation and preparation. The “Grande Degustation” menu is a fantastic journey through ALL of Roma and Lazio cuisine, but requires a really hearty appetite to complete. This was clearly one of our favorite culinary experiences as we traveled to several cities in northern Italy over our three week journey. Thanks so much!!

2/10Had a reservation for 7:30. Showed up on time, rang the bell and called the restaurant 4 times. Lights were all off inside and never got a response. This place has great reviews so I am not sure what happened but we ended up going elsewhere. Make sure to reach out to them in advance as they “opened” today at 7pm but clearly that was not true.

8.5/10You walk down some stairs and ring the bell to enter into what feels like someone's home. There were no lines or people outside waving you in. The server was attentive and the chef came out multiple times to check on us - they all spoke english. The best part of the meal was the clearly home made pasta with the best tasting sauces. However, the starter bread was a bit dry and would be better with some butter and the appetizer would be nice with some more

10/10+10The door to the restaurant is locked, and only accessible Saturday if you have a reservation. The food is more southern Italian, heavily herbed with sour notes. The veal with a balsamic carrot sauce was delicious and the pastas feature home made noodles. One drawback was the bread service- the bread was dry and crumbly, and not served with any oil vinegar or other items.

10/10Lovely little restaurant where you ring the bell and are greeted at the door. Wonderful, rustic and cozy ambiance. The owner is friendly and kindly answers questions about food and wine. We had the spicy salami and cheese appetizer which was great. The homemade orichitelle was homemade pasta with delicious rich ragu sauce. The beef with truffle and mushroom sauce was tender and flavourful and the crochette potatoes were crispy and wonderful. The profiteroles are a decadent and delicious with a fun and engaging presentation by the chef. Would highly recommend you go if you want authentic and delicious Roman food.

10/10It was like dinner at Nonna's without all the family. Everything tasted phenomenal! The service was amazing and so personable. The atmosphere was a perfect home away from home. We loved it so much we reserved our next dinner before leaving. Highly recommend not leaving Rome without a stop here.

10/10We booked this restaurant last minute for our last night in Rome and had such a great time! The service was fantastic and given with a flourish -- get the chocolate cream puff dessert (watching him make it is like a theater show). The atmosphere was so friendly and we had the nicest Sicilian and Canadian couple introduce themselves and chat. The food was flavorful and overall was a great experience. Extra kudos to our waiter!

10/10Nestled in the basement (a small flight of stairs from the street), this gem is what makes Rome wonderful. We went on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was well attended, the waiter (just one) was attentive and helpful and the food was flavorful and memorable.

10/10We were there on a Saturday night in June, but it was empty. I have no idea why because the service was incredible and so was the food. I saw some bad reviews about the pasta, but if you talk to them about the pasta, they explain the traditional ways. The food was absolutely incredible, the prices were amazing. I would go back here weekly if I lived near by.

10/10Fantastic time at this cozy little restaurant. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, fantastic dishes. Close to Doubletree Hilton hotel and the Roma Termini train station. Definitely glad we found and came to this little basement hideaway, it was the perfect dining experience.

10/10A very interesting place. Unlike many of the crowded and somewhat boisterous restaurants that we've been in, this place was relatively quiet with ample spacing between the tables. A somewhat usual feature is the locked front door which. I imagine, is an indication that reservations are required (which we had through thefork). The food is very good; the service is very attentive and friendly. The decor is understated and creates a soothing atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable as well.
