5.5/10We were friendly with smiles, and the waiter would not look at us. The harder we tried to be friendly, the more disdainful he became. The antipasti was delicious, the mains were also delicious. But when I asked the waiter about the “a la Norma” he grimaced with,” it’s the regular a la Norma.” The salad was extremely disappointing: iceberg lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. The salad was NOT a Michelin salad. Overall, I would never go back, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

3/10Fabulous location amazing view poor service totally ignored poured our own wine had to ask for a wine cooler not offered coffee or desert. Food ok very overpriced Wine €65 for a bottle of Sicilian Rose than cost £12 in Uk supermarket

Good morning. I can't help but respond to your review!! it's absurd!! I would like to understand why we should offer a coffee or a dessert?? Maybe you didn't realize you were in a restaurant??? you have to pay for coffee or dessert in a restaurant! if the bottle of rosé had been dear to you, you could have had the glass too. 3/10€250 for half a lobster for two people. Incredibly expensive. The waiting staff were rude. The ambience was dead. The Michelin inspectors have dropped the ball on this.

10/10I’m not a person who leaves reviews but I have to for this restaurant. The service was impeccable. The food was some of the best we had so far through our travels in Sicily. The warmth and hospitality were overwhelming it is such a beautiful place to stop if you have the chance.

6/10Great ambience and view supported by the live music coming from the bar down at the square. Enjoyed the service by the owner / head waiter and his staff. We ordered three dishes in total. Crab spaghetti, Red Snapper (Grilled) and Grilled Vegetables. Other than the grilled fish, the plating was good, too. I was not sure if the crab meat came from the actual crab on the plate but that's okay, it tasted good. The grilled fish was cooked well but I would've preferred the head waiter asking us first if we would like to debone it before doing it himself. And in terms of plating, he just served it plainly with olive oil. We've had grilled fish before in Italy, even rucola, potato, onion, salad, a side on the same plate would've made it better.

10/10marvelous truly a high standard restaurant. super attentive service. we had the south north tasting menu with exceptional dishes. superior position. the best dish of our holiday in Italy spaghetti with crab.

9/10Great ambience and service. Food was pretty good too. Had a sudden down pour of rain and the staff did an excellent job of getting everyone moved inside.

8/10It was a very nice evening. Wine good, food good and service good! Except the ravioli Norma. They were ok but a bit basic. Our Kids 2 and 6 had them too. They liked them. They Billed for the kids ravioli 2x 25€. It was not enough for them so we had to order extra pasta. I hope that was a mistake.... 50€ for two kids pasta is strange even if it would be a star retaurant which it is not.... All in all its a very nice location. If you like Taormina you will like this place too!

6/10For a Michelin star resturant.. the food was tasty but not seasoned well. My beef had to be returned as it was under coooked. The side dish of the potatoes were very dry. I had mentioned during my booking it was a birthday.. nothing marerilaised.. no choc or small touches once the bill was presented.

7.5/10It is not surprising there were only 2 other tables taken. The glittery white decor is somehow cold, which sums up our experience of Competent but not friendly service. A bad feeling exacerbated by a €17 cover charge that brought us no extras other than a miserly portion of oil to compliment the unexceptional bread - and no plate to eat it from

5/10The restaurant had all windows open and I chose to seat outside since inside was as cold as outside. So I got super cold eating. I wanted to order a glass of vine and they had only one option which I didn’t like. I don’t want to order the whole bottle. So I decided to skip vine. I ordered one appetizer and main dish. The main dish didn’t have anything else except a piece of fish. There was nothing special in either the presentation or food preparation. When I just arrived to the table, the first thing the server did: he brought a table with fresh fish explaining me for 5 minutes possible options that can be done with that fish. First of all, I don’t want to have fresh fish table by my side. Second, why not wait when I express at least some interest towards menu options. Overall, I was shocked and puzzled how such poor quality of food preparation, presentation, and service could have earned Michelin star. Never before I had so poor experience in a Michelin restaurant level. I could possibly justify such food if the price was €20 for an appetizer and a small piece of baked fish, not €70.

5.5/10The palace is great. We’ve been to many restaurants also Michelin star restaurants. The Michelin guide recommends this restaurant. But I must see it’s bot near a star. We’ve paid 280 euro’s, that was not in comparison what we’ve got. The starter was oké, the Main corse was red snapper covered with salt. The fish tasted good, but had a lot of bones. The grilled vegetables tasted not good and was luke warm. The bread was not self made and the cheese platter was bad. The coffee was good also the wine.

10/10Although the restaurant is located in a major tourist location we were seated on the balcony with a fabulous view of the main plaza and it was delightful. Food was excellent, beautifully presented , fresh and creative. Wait staff professional and helpful.

5/10The rating of the restaurant is overrated, and the service very formal rather than friendly. We have ordered among the first courses a ravioli dish – it happens that it consists of 3 raviolinis, although there were 4 people at the table. Just making a note to us or to put a 1 extra ravioli probably will not bankrupt the restaurant. The fish (€97) after being cooked, and bones separated, was served with a lot of wasted fish. For the restaurant that claims Michelin status everything we have experienced with is a joke. We went before in many restaurants that claim the same status and the quality of service and food was significantly better. My recommendation – AVOID Cinque Archi restaurant; there are much more better options around.

3/10The restaurant was empty on a busy Friday night in Taormina. We were the only diners in the establishment. The food was mediocre at best and was our most expensive meal in Sicily. The service was very attentive because there were more staff than diners. I’m not sure how this restaurant procured a Michelin rating. We have dined as several other Michelin rated restaurants in Sicily on this trip as comparison.

9/10Fantastic location. Nice food, lots of seafood choices. Old skool formal service. Unfortunately we were a 3 so could not sit in the balcony arches, couples only. Music comes from the wunderbar below. Restaurant was not very busy which was a shame re atmosphere.

9/10Great restaurant in Taormina. We did get there early 6pm and sat outside on the balcony for a large amount of people watching. The service was great and the food was also very good. This is a classy restaurant and not a cheap eats. This is a restaurant that would get 15/20 in the good food guide in Australia.

10/10I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Cinque Archi From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with expert recommendations. The food was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was a work of art, both in presentation and flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the chef's creativity shone through in every bite. The flavors were well-balanced, and each dish was a delightful surprise.

8/10The staff were lovely and the service, location and ambience was excellent (apart from a lady with a very loud laugh, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault). The food was good but definitely not worth the price. Tuna tartar was too salted and the the flavour of the fish was overpowered by orange. Sea bass was well cooked and I loved that it was really hot and soft. .

5/10Our first Michelin experience .. it disappointed. The maitre d welcomed us to our early dinner and a balcony table, with a view, awaited. We requested the sommelier to provide paring recommendations for our choices. He did not seem to grasp our request and the maitre d pointed him to a pre set menu option for 4 wines and suggested we accept. Appetizers were very good but we did not see an expected Michelin ‘wow’. I ordered red snapper in salt which was served at the table by the sommelier(?). It was passed it’s prime, soft and palpy and, unfortunately, filleting skills left many bones. Dessert (cannoli and profiteroles) followed a similar fate, no flair Service started well but as more tables were seated service diminished and resulted in waving for attention …

8/10Lovely restaurant with a Michelin star. Beautiful outside tables. Arrived for 8:00 o’clock reservation and was given an outdoor table. However told that I had to leave by 9:30. Ok. No problem. At 10:00 I had to beg them for the bill. Food was good but not innovative.
