Not sure what the hype was about. So many great places to eat and we chose this due to location and time. Had 6 tapas to share and only 2 editable. Took an hour and a half to partially eat what we paid for. Went to hotel to get better food and quicker service.

Visiting from NYC and absolutely enchanted by Paris, I stumbled upon Circonstances while searching for restaurants near my hotel. Having never been here before, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did! The vibe was exactly what I was craving: intimate, charming, and undeniably Parisian. It felt like uncovering a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The food? Simply divine. I ordered the Sea Bass with Mashed Potatoes, and every bite was a delight. The Sea Bass had perfectly crispy skin, and the mashed potatoes were generous and oh-so-creamy. It was an experience I’ll remember fondly—and one I’ll be recommending to friends back home!

Great place, close to the theatre. The food was amazing, very pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Will go back to try the rest of the menu.

Lovely atmosphere with delicious food. We particularly liked tempura artichokes, but my scalllops and my husband’s turbot with both delicious as well! Reasonable prices for good and wine. Would definitely recommend and return!

Excellent restaurant with an innovative menu for dinner. Friendly staff, enjoyable atmosphere. The area is very lively at night but the restaurant is pleasantly calm.

This French restaurant serving tapas style food was a great find. Came here from NY with my wife and 8-month old baby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The scotch beef was amazing. The grilled octopus tentacles and the shrimp ravioli were excellent. The Palawan cocktail is refreshing. Magnifique! I highly recommend it. We will definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our delicious dinner here. The waitress told us she had just started her job and we were her first clients. The seasoning of the wild prawn ravioli was fresh and delightful. Each dish was perfectly prepared. We shall return!

Creative and tasty food, with an interesting twist on some classics. Unfortunately, the staff definitely needs to be reminded on how to treat clients: our group was put in a table that caused some of us to wear jackets during dinner (it was that cold!); one of the bottles of wine we asked for was not good and I asked for a different one, and even a suggestion for another one. The reply we got was a rude “and what am I supposed to do with the this one?”. Yes, it’s Paris, but it’s not ok to treat your customers like this!

Friendly service from what seemed like a mother and daughter team. Food was creative and delicious. Desserts are divine and large enough to share. Busy place so be sur to reserve.

Excellent food and good, friendly service. Very solid wine list with fair prices! We were very lucky to choose to eat here after seeing a theatre show nearby. The dishes were original twists on French favorites, served on hot plates- a very professional touch. In a surprising move, we were given an entire, very delicious pate de campagne and fantastic bread to snack on while the appetizers came out. The portions were generous. We would not hesitate to return often!

Last night in Paris after many outstanding meals guided by Fork. Service was by far the worst we experienced in Paris. The food was just brought to the table and left. No interaction from wait staff. Save your money for someplace else.

The food was very decent. Not too many options but I believe it all depends on what is available during the time you visit. Nice little restaurant around the neighbourhood with reasonable price. Wine selection is nice.
