3/10The food was very late to arrive (more than 1 hr). We ordered 2 different size pieces of steak, (they both turned up the same size), mine was tasty but grissley. we asked for additional drinks and butter that was forgotton - we only got these when reminding the staff when the food eventually arrived.. the roasted vegetables turned up after I'd already finished my meal. the staff seemed over whelmed despite the restaurant only being half full. I appreciate this might sound moany, and is probably one of the few times I've actually written a food review - but had really high expectations given the historical good reviews of this place, but this was a food low point on our otherwise great holiday to lake garda.

5/10We made a mistake on the reservation and came a day early. They were gracious to seat us. And asked us still or sparkling water. We told them still. It took 3 reminders after that before we got the water. The patio was busy but hardly anyone inside until later. We told them we would like to enjoy our drink before placing an order. They were fine with that and checked a couple of times to see if we were ready. That was good. There was a young man who spoke English and helped us understand the cuts of meat. That was good. The Buratta appetizer was exceptional. And a large enough portion to share. When we finished they brought a Ribeye, also called Strip Steak. We chose the more expensive of the 3 choices which was the Italian meat. It was chewy and not as flavorful as expected based on the menu and waiter’s description. Didn’t finish it. Was very late in our meal before anyone checked on us. We told them and they took the meat off the bill. Should have had a cheeseburger. Not good

7/10We went on Saturday evening and it was wonderful so we made a booking and returned on Wednesday they didn’t check our name but remembered us and showed us to a table . The waitress was cheerful and friendly but half way through everything changed . Another waitress took our dessert order and after being ignored and waiting 30 mins for the special coffee that never came we asked for the bill . The 20% discount was not on the bill and the English speaking waitress had was off with us so we decided it was not worth the hassle and paid . To make matters worse we are now being bombarded with emails from the fork saying we didn’t turn up !! Same restaurants 2 very very different experiences

9.5/10We ate dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. There is outdoor seating available, but beware the mosquitoes! Not only was the food really good [astonishingly good chips!], but the waitress was great fun. You can go to the chilled cabinet and choose your dry aged steak, which is then cooked beautifully to order. If top quality steak isn't your thing, they have a good selection of gourmet burgers and pizza. The restaurant is a fair stroll from the centre of Sirmione, but it is well worth seeking it out.

5.5/10The food was great! However. The service was not great. One waitress started speaking German with us from nowhere. Probably because we have blonde hair? (We are not German.) The second waitress fooled us and told us that if we order meat it is minimum 300grams (which is not stated anywhere in the menu) you pay per Hg according to the menu. We argued a bit but she was firm that it's minimum 300 gram. So we ordered 300gram each. The table next to us were Italians and we saw their plates. Much smaller than 300 gram. We booked the table through the fork and they forgot to add 20% off at first but they fixed it once we told them.

9/10A little bit out of the way of the main drag, this was a late find in our stay at Sirmione but was so good we went back the following night before going home. Excellent choice of meats, well cooked and all at reasonable prices.

3.5/10The server recommended an Argentinian rib eye as they best steak. We order it and it was horrible. Then we’re told we ordered a steak that was cheap. It was £10 per 100grams. This place was so disappointing. We feel we wasted one of our limited number of dinner opportunities on holiday. My husband couldn’t even eat it. I asked if it was frozen. Maybe we ordered the wrong dish but this steak shouldn’t be in the menu.

6/10Don't understand how this is one of the top restaurants in Sirmione. We ate in other much better restaurants during our short stay. When we went to order drinks they didn't have the wine we had chosen. The waitress rushed us into selecting our food then there was a long wait before it arrived. We both had the seafood pasta which was fine but quite salty. Desserts were good. Some staff were pleasant, others were less so giving off the impression they couldn't wait to clock off for the night.

Realy correct Price /quality diner, ingriedients where top. The remarque on the service is that you het the feeling being pushed to enter, diner and get out as soon as possible, we asked to wait between apero, first course, and main and they asked every 5min if it was okey to order the next dish, this was giving an oncomfortable feeling…

9.5/10We’ve been here twice and everything we’d ordered was really tasty: lasagna, tagliatelle with mushrooms, chicken nuggets for the kids, Mind that pasta with seafood contains anchovies, not to everyone’s taste I guess. Service was pleasing, with this lovely special Italian attitude to kids…and dogs)) There’s one thing with a negative touch I’d like to mention - the ventilation system didn’t work, either it didn’t exist at all, so it was too warm and stuffy, Despite this we definitely recommend this place.

9.5/10We had a really good dinner, the pinse (pizzas) were really excellent The wine is reasonably priced and of very high quality. Unfortunately we couldn’t try the deserts, because after the appetizers and the pinse, we couldn’t eat any more food.

5.5/10A rather poor experience. The service was slow with food taking around 25 minutes to arrive we no pre warning that food may take a while. The food itself was rather mixed with the seafood pasta actually tasting quite good but the steak was below average. My expectations were quite high as Civico 48 was rated as one of the top rated restaurants in the area. My personal view is that I do not understand how this place could possibly be so highly rated.
