Sometimes, when in a restaurant, you see all that delicious food, and have l'embarras du choix, you wish you could have them all. Well, in Claire'Marais you can. The size of the dishes is so, that you can easily have 3 different ones. Or, if you have more time, and a bigger hunger, you can walk through the menu, take a ballade and really have every dish on it. And still have desert. And every dish is as tasty as the next one. The service is great. Both the hosts make you feel welcome, in a relaxed atmosphere, you never get the feeling you are forgotten, they bring things to your table like the menu with drinkts, a little amuse-bouche, the drinks you ordered, another little dish, with excellent timing. And with a genuine friendly flair. I wish I had this kind of restaurant in my hometown, I would be a regular! People of St Omer, you are blessed!

Not our first visit and we have been so impressed with the food and staff that we planned the timing of our journey to arrive in Saint Omer on an evening when the Claire'Marais would be open. We booked our table a month in advance. The menu and presentation has changed since our last visit nearly a year ago but the quality and service remained excellent. The kitchen staff are clearly not complacent. Go if you can get a booking.

I discovered this restaurant when searching on Google for a good place in St Omer for a nice meal. The Claire Marais fulfilled all our expectations of fine French cuisine.

This was an unexpected delight. Fabulous food and ambience. The location is great and close to our hotel. I would drive over from the UK again, with this as a destination.

We have eaten in many great restaurants, but this was a very pleasant surprise. Very cosy and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and attentive service and most of all a very creative chef in the kitchen. Both the vegetarian and the flexitarian menu were exquisite. Top address, we will certainly come back when we’re around. Vaut le détour!

This is a great restaurant. Due to Covid the menu has been slightly reduced but there is a good choice available. There is also a true vegetarian option. We were seated outside but service was exellent. Atmosphere was great, staff friendly, food exceptional. We will certainly return.

We visited Saint Omer for the day and had the 2 course surprise menu. The starters were preceded by 2 different appetisers and lovely bread with herb butter. They catered for me as a vegetarian admirably and made us all feel very welcome. We shared the crepe Suzette between 3 of us which was fab. Thank you! We will be back.

I think this place is great! Even they don not speak great english our experience was amazing! High quality and genuine french cuisine we were looking for in St Omar. Thanks!
