Beautiful surroundings. Very good service and very good food. While all dishes were beautifully plated, some lacked the depth of flavor. More simply put, flavors did not match the visual appeal. The main components of dishes sometimes got lost in everything else

Awesome experience - great food, lovely service and ambiance

We came with high expectations — a Michelin-starred restaurant usually promises both creativity and excellence. Unfortunately, our experience was far from that. The setting itself is beautiful, elegant, and full of potential. However, the service was uninspired and at times even disrespectful — twice during the evening we had a waiter’s elbow literally in our faces, without so much as an apology. The staff seemed disengaged and without any real sense of hospitality or joy. The food, while competently prepared, lacked any real excitement or finesse. The dishes felt one-dimensional and surprisingly clumsy for a restaurant of this caliber. There was no tension, no subtlety — just a sequence of plates that failed to tell a story. Despite the lovely ambiance and pleasant company, it simply didn’t live up to the standards one expects from a Michelin-starred establishment. A disappointing evening overall, and certainly not worth the reputation — or the price tag.

An excellent dining experience — outstanding meal, well-chosen wines, and attentive, knowledgeable service. The chef personally greeting guests after dinner to discuss the meal was a refined touch that added real class. I highly recommend the restaurant itself. That said, I would advise against staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located, as the accommodation offers far less value compared to the quality of the dining.

Very friendly and professional greeting and service. Food was not only gorgeous and creative, but also tasted wonderful. Many exceptional surprises both beginning and ending of meal. A few small dining rooms, each lovely. Not super expensive ( but still expensive! ) at lunch, but well worth the cost. Highly recommend.

The food was spectacular, as good to look at it as it was to taste! So creative! Service was what one would expect at such a restaurant but not overly intrusive. The Sohm was very knowledgeable and guided us to one of the best wines we have ever tasted!! And we were fortunate to end the evening with a tour of the kitchen and conversation with Chef Jordan! My wife claims best dinner ever…that is all that really matters! Thank you Chef Jordan and all the staff as Clos de Cedre!

Went for lunch. The restaurant was not full but all patrons were seated, crowded even, in the same room. We ordered the Creation menu, with wine pairing. Service was spotty, at best. Food was unevenly cooked and explanations were rushed. The Brittany lobster, in particular, was overcooked with the consistency of an old shoe. While the pairing was well enough done, the explanations were minimal and only 4 of 5 wines in the pairing were poured. While we weren't charged for the "whole" pairing, that was hardly the point of ordering it. As we left, we were given two special brioche...despite ours being a table of three. We had to go find a manager to settle the bill and she was defensive about the poor service, rather than understanding that it had distracted from the experience promised. A fine lunch but not one we'd recommend or care to repeat.

This Michelin star restaurant is a jewel. It is the best Michelin one star restaurant that we have had the pleasure to dine in. It will surely be a two star very soon. The ambience and decor of the restaurant are impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They spoke English to help us with our broken French. The food was incredible and did not disappoint at any level. The wine pairing was extremely good. We will definitely book again when we are back in Beaune, France.

+9We were visiting Beaune for a few days and what better way than to pair good wine with good food? It was a beautiful summer day, and the restaurant offered alfresco dining with a great ambiance. The service was top notch and the food was classic and delicious. The chilled cucumber soup and the duck foie gras with black currant really stood out! The lemon-themed dessert, with lemon meringue, lemon sorbet, and the "citron givré" were also outstanding.

Easter Sunday. I was alone. I was made to feel welcome. The food was delicious. I spent 2 1/2 hours enjoying surprise items from the chef and the lovely plates I ordered a la carte. Everything was beautifully presented. Complex and subtle flavor combinations. I enjoyed it very much.

The food was bland to say the least. It was not what you would expect of a Michelin one star restaurant. No dish was exceptional, exciting. Almost everything was a bit dull, tepid. The wine was good. Service made a few mistakes but friendly and well meaning.

Beautiful place, excellent and hearty food. Pigeon was absolutely delicious, and the desert was superb. The Chef comes at the end to talk to customers, which is a nice detail. Definitely a place to recommend.

Creative visually impressive and tasty courses all came together to make an outstanding meal. Services was excellent and attentive - but not hovering. Highly recommend. Chef was kind enough to stop by at evenings end to chat.

All perfect !from the amazing garden to the service. The appetizers were exquisite and delicious. The gazpacho starter was so great that we were worried that nothing next could be as good, but we were happily surprised ...we ordered the menu “equilibre “. The kids had their own very delicious menu as well. Willing to return very soon.

We had a lovely 80th birthday celebration in this beautiful restaurant. The staff was very attentive and the food absolutely fabulous. Our son with his multiple allergies was perfectly cared for, even amuse-bouches and mise-en-bouche were specifically prepared for him. We had a private room to ourselves- a big thank you to the restaurant for making this birthday unforgettable!

Had lunch here, the 5-course Menu Cedre. Superb in every way. Each course was delicious - beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, showcasing the skill and talent of the chef while allowing the natural flavour of the ingredients to shine. The wine recommendations of the sommelier were top notch, each wonderfully augmenting the flavours of the dish with which it was paired. The dining room is refined and elegant with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Last but not least, the service, which was exceptional from start to finish. Incredibly warm and gracious hospitality from the professional, bilingual staff, Dining here was the highlight of my visit to Beaune and one of the best dining experiences of my 2+ years in France. Highly recommended.
