10/10Food was really nice, wines even better, service amazing. I want to thank the waiter that served us for the nice and warm (and not fake) attitude and also for the wines that were recommended.

7/10Good-looking place with a great wine list, but unfortunately the kitchen is not up to the same standard. The oysters, escargots, ham & cheese plate, mushrooms, and shrimp were fine, but the bread was clearly cut days earlier, and the mussels in mayonnaise (part of their seafood platter) were tough and not tasty. The music playlist had nothing to do with a French restaurant - though still better than the radio that was played afterwards. Overall, disappointed. Would not return.

10/10This restaurant was a lovely find in Lisbon. A nice atmosphere, particularly if you like wine, with honest and appropriate accompanying food. The service was friendly and polite without being patronising. We had a lovely night.

The Ambience, The food is fantastic, The Wines are outstanding and the service is great. The Sommelier Isa guided us with knowledge through the wine regions and the perfect pairing with the French cuisine.

10/10A must-visit wine bar in Lisbon. When I'm in Lisbon, I always manage to revisit the Chateaux. Cassoulet and Pommes Noisettes are my favorites. The sommelier's suggestion is just what we need. Great service and a very pleasant atmosphere.

8/10The service is wonderful, the knowledge of wine is extensive and Bruno really knows his stuff! The wine selection and his knowledge are why we return. That being said, we love this place and there are many fine plates on the menu. The one exception to this, in our opinion, is the onion soup. It is quite watery and is severely lacking in flavor.

10/10Great place. Small cosy wine cave vibes. Good selection of wines and food. Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. Great dinner experience. Reasonable prices for the very high quality food. On the list to return on Lisbon.

4/10the main dishes were not good. "pommes parisienne" evidently store-bought frozen product. Manager or owner came to argue after 2 main dishes sent back. the waitress was polite. would not recommend

8/10The staff is overall nice however they could benefit from a prompt customer service. We had white wine with cheese and sausage board - where part of the bread was hard and despite our feedback they didn't provide us with a new one .

5.5/10This has been for some time on of my favorite stops for after work drinks oisters and some nice French food. It has an amazing selection of wine by the glass at reasonable prices. I like it so much that i keep on sharing this french enclave with my friends. What i cannot live with is when the food is spoiled. One time it happens, i can understand but in two different occasions i had to send the food back. I won't share here but both were serious health hazards. apart from one beautiful employee that served us yesterday, the attitude of the staff has been on of justifying instead of acknowledging immediately that something is obviously wrong. Won't stop showing up for a class of wine but food, no thanks

Hi Pedro, I apologize for this situation and please if you could tell us about this case that happened it would help a lot (Xavier - infos@chateaux.pt). Of course problems should be acknowledged. We have no intention, no internal rule nor any practice that orders people to be laxist on food quality/conservation or other. Anyway a team restructuring occured in May/June and from July 1 we have a new manager in place in our Lisbon-Saldanha Wine Bar. I hope next time you come for a drink, we have a couple of minutes to talk about food... and taste something together. Xavier - Owner

7/10Although in Lissabon bread in general is fresh and tasty ( Mafra type) none of this appeared on the table, easy and cheap to improve a lot, you would not serve this bread in France, so don’t do this in Lissabon.

Dear Francis, We are investigating this point and I agree with you that bread is very important. But I would like to comment that we have in our bread baskets always 3 kind of breads (a whole wheat one, another one a little bit more sweet and a classical white)...

9/10Excellent authentic French cuisine to pair with a “voyage” to several different French wines. Very reasonable prices too! Ask for a table on the back, where the ambience is warmer and there is no cold wind coming form the front door.

10/10A really enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was great - really relaxing and convivial. We were assisted with choosing the wine which was helpful and not too expensive. A good selection of meats, fish and cheese.

10/10A warm welcome, friendly, inclusive ambiance, attention to detail AND customers by the owner. Lovely selection of wines.. Charming staff. The classic French dishes we ordered were spot on and fabulous. The experience felt more like a dinner party amongst friends. Not to be missed!
