2/10Food was disgusting, they obliged us to take 3 courses!!!!! I claim my money back . If I knew I have to take three courses I woud never go there , we pay 200 euro and I want it back

10/10This was our final dinner of Sicily trip. What an amazing experience. Food, wine, service, ambience and atmosphere were outstanding! Best place in Catania to have an interesting and memorable dinner. I strongly recommend 10 course tasting menu. It will let you explore the local flavors and modern vision of the Sicily tradition from chef!

9/10+8We had a fantastic 7 course tasting menu for dinner on a beautiful Monday evening in September at Concezione, which we found worthy of 1 Michelin star! We can only praise the team for their delicious offerings with some daring ingredients (horse, goat, …), which all tasted great. The dishes ranged from creative (but still to be optimized, e.g. the sardine dish with black ‘ash’, which was a tad too bitter for our liking) to exceptional (goat dumpling, ravioli). The bread offerings and sweets were very generous and of excellent quality. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the wines were delicious, and the restaurant itself was decorated beautifully. It was a nice touch that Chef also visited our table. We would definitely recommend Concezione Restaurant to lovers of good food!

10/10Service was excellent, chef was fabulous food was excellent and all from Sicily, lovely wine list. The aubergine and the tuna dishes were extremely delicious. I would have liked a little less fermented dressings, but I would go back.

10/10+2It was a good culinary surprise journey, even with the 5 courses I was more than satisfied, but I’d highly recommend tasting the other dishes too. My all time favorites are: A. The quail (melts on the tongue) B. The dish with provola regusana sauce topped with 3-week fermented tomato sauce

10/10We went for a friedn's special birthday, we were a party of 3 people. All dishes were very good, particularly the risotto and the paste with goat, we also had another dish with goat which is amazing. Very professional but friendly staff, they also accommodated our need for a special birthday celebration with a little cake, very nice of them. And we got to meet the chef! I have been to several other Michelen restaurants, not all of them impressive, I would highly recommend this one.

10/10We came here on the first night of our honeymoon and it was delightful! The 10 course vegetarian menu was a taste sensation, packed with flavours and textures and with a really clear vision. A really amazing little restaurant that we’d highly recommend

8/10A very nice atmosphere, very nice welcome from the service, even the cooking crew waved at us. We found it great to see them while cooking. Nice presentation of the various courses. Our expectations were very high but we were somehow disappointed. Very salty main courses. And other things like aperitif with little taste. we would have expected so much more. The wine was fine, service great.

7/10The interior and service were very good, however the food surprised us negatively. From place like this and especially for such price you expect normally a very high level. We took 5 courses tasting menu, which costs 90 Euro per person Even the food looked really nice, mostly sour and vinegar taste dominated. After tasting one of dish courses, we gave our feedback to waiter, but next course was actually tasting same. Overall the restaurant left a negative experience due to food tasting. I do not recommend this restaurant

10/10This is an extraordinary culinary experience. Even though we are quite demanding customers, we were surprised and we were looking forward to more surprises from the chef. Additionally, it was very nice of the staff to celebrate my husband's birthday. An absolutely stunning and unique cooking show. Definitely to be recommended and definitely to be repeated.

10/10Unique experience - fine food as theate. This is unlike any restaurant we’ve been in Italy - more in the French food tradition of meticulous preparation and elaborate ingredients (all locally sourced) than rustic Italian. The restaurant is intentionally oriented so that you face the working kitchen behind a glass wall, and it is fascinating to see the kitchen choreography and the chef as he composes each plate. We ordered one of the several tasting menus and the wine pairing, which meant a parade of enticing small dishes (there is a pre-dessert, then the dessert, then 5 small petit fours as an after dessert for example) but you can also order ala carte and there is an extensive wine list. One reviewer said they were sorry they ordered a bottle of wine before knowing about the wine pairing - the restaurant definitely promotes this - but the pours of the wine on the pairing are scant, so if you like wine as much as you like food, go with ordering your own bottle. The service is attentive and the food is delicious - definitely go for the food but you will remember the experience!

10/10Both of the waitresses were very professional and the cooker also. Thanks to them and the food quality, we spent a very good evening. Coming from Paris, we expected a high quality restaurant, we were served :)

8/10An innovative menu with some great flavours. Attentive but not intrusive waiting staff. Some of the flavours of the main dishes were unorthodox and perhaps incongruous, and the preparation of the main dessert was less good: it was quite salty and liquid. Starters/entrées the best part, as were the amuse-bouches, petit fours and coffee (excellent!) Wine pairing sensible and tasty. Crockery was not entirely clean — you could see finger marks and food smears.

9.5/10We hugely enjoyed the playful and innovative menu at this restaurant. Not only was the food innovative but it was also delicious. The chef is young and not always perfect but it was one of the most interesting meals we have had in a long time. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we felt very welcomed. A great final night to our holiday.

10/10Great restaurant for an amazing food experience. You are given the opportunity to eat the best of Sicily cooked by the best Chef of Catania - a delight experience. Dishes very well prepared with the perfect size to satiate your aperite. The pearl of Catania. Do not let the city of Catania disappont you by the looks. This restaurant gives you a new perspective and makes everything worth it. Highly recommended ????

10/10Nothing compares 2 U when you create a Concezione Restaurant. I happened to be invited to a birthday surprise dinner in Catania by my glamorous young always beautifully adventurous friend Frida. Entering Concezione Restaurant we where welcomed with pure elegance - our companion for the next 3 hours - through this steep fantastic night of a slow multitude explosion from tongue to brain. While we were seated I was flashlight blinded by the silver mirror letters on the opposite door: Toilet. Brillant design and more when this door ever opens. Eyes Wide Shut I glanced into the horizon- the kitchen - where 3 young men and 1 woman worked as a silent lubricated Gang minus one member who was down. “Trust in youth - stay out of their way but by their side” blossomed my mind as we choose from street names, earthy ingredients of spitting mountains and funny sideswips. An excellent wine was chosen for us as we where unable by our excited expectation. And right we where to safe our capacities as the high tide ride began with a first bite moving through textures, clear tastes and countryside colours. A warm inviting hand to step up further to the second bite : a sliding rumour of continental plates crashing into remembrance of the past. Here comes the sun hitting your nervous system if you make no concession taking your third bite. Tears of conquer, dirt of Duccati wheels squirts around your mouth, U- turning the former stories of ingredients, textures of the past by constructing the future. My tongue slides searching along the moulded warm porcelain. Finding a blank plate comforts me as more is still to come. With Lust for Life I taste that needed contradictions only arise from intellectual risk. Than later the divine dark sweet dessert flirting with the bitter, splitter of salty sand floating down a rocky Mountain slope splashing as a bright smile with la Sole d’ Agosto into the sea of me. As Tears Go By the Ragusa Star respectfully fades away in his mist of classic harmony and the narratives of applause die high in the sky. In retrospect I still believe Like a Prayer: Nothing compares 2 U ! Thank you Manuel Tropea + 4 + 1 missing for this spectacular, glamorous Adventure created with some Sicilian gifts of Nature but running Like a Passenger through your most sparkling Talent. 10/10Plainly decorated restaurant, which allows the food to take centre stage. Glass fronted kitchen to watch the creative chefs. The passion for food and presentation is obvious, a highly creative chef who adores locally sourced ingredients and prepares them simply which allows them to shine.
