8/10This is a beautiful little place to be, especially on the terrace. The food was very attractive but the flavors - not so much. It is expensive IMO and the portions tend to be small. We ordered a soft shell crab starter, expecting something akin to spider roll (it wasn’t). Although the dish was visually stunning, there was not enough crab to fill a thimble and the quail egg, although perfectly cooked, completely overpowered the fish. Same problem with the fois gras. We got two small bites of beautifully cooked fois gras over a piece of tuna that overwhelmed it. I also found our dishes disappointing, My ginger tea tasted like plain hot water, The place is lovely and the service is nice, but that is not enough for me to go back.

10/10Second visit for us and was great again! Super fresh fish, perfectly cooked rice, awesome cocktails. Love sitting on the patio in the sunshine under the beautiful tree. Quiet and scenic view of the local square…good people watching!😉

10/10This lovely restaurant tucked away in an old Cascais house covered with bougainvillea is outstanding! Elegant interior and tabel settings, Superb service and Gault Millau cuisine. The best tempura, sashimi and sushi I have ever eaten!

10/10Our first visit will certainly not be the last as this is the best sushi we have ever had….so glad we tried it. Great couvert to start of carrot sticks and a beet/mayo/pickle dip….an interesting combination that was very refreshing to accentuate the meal. Their specialty drinks we tried were the Akita and the Okayama and both were super refreshing and flavorful….so much so we ordered two more as we dined on the patio under a beautiful bougainvillea. Gyozo for appetizer was a great start before the Nihon Bare (12 piece sampler) and an 8 piece Uramaki which were fantastic. Perfect light fluffy rice and super fresh fish. We especially loved the melt in your mouth tuna nagiri (no exaggeration here) so much that we ordered 4 more pieces. Service was excellent with a friendly and informative duo that made drinks from scratch and were very attentive. The slightly higher price for sushi and definitely higher price for drinks are well worth the experience though. Go and enjoy!

2.5/10Waiting time and arrogancy about it is unacceptable! It used to be a very disent restaurant,but probably ownership changed ..dont know..but be ready for simple 8 cucumbers/avocado maki roll for kids 45 min!And main order 1,15 min!Even 3 starts micheline stars restaurants do not allow themselves such a waiting!Shame

7.5/10I always come back for the food, but the service is not so good, there are not a lot of waiters, so the service is slow and that hot sushi you order is cold when it arrives at your table. Also the waiters could be a little more inviting and kind.

7.5/10The restaurant is great, the food is really good and the place is all in all amazing. The staff is generally very good with the exception of the one who we believe was the manager/responsible for seating who, when asked if we could have a different table for two (all of them free when we asked), answered, in a patronising tone: “no, because I say no, now sit down” Definitely needs attention to some of the staff although most of them were great and polite.

8/10We have been to confraria many times, but, for some reason, they decided to put a very loud music now, in total disagreement with the usual ambiance,.. and without any reason besides trying to make people consume more in a shorter period of time…. There is no need to do that since they already have so many clients and the food is good. We really hope that they can maintain the usual service without having to degenerate their ambiance thinking about profit…. Of course, we all need to survive, but honest things are always appreciated for what they are….… Hope they can think twice before going in that direction… so many things and places are already going “down hill” I think it would be better if they could preserve their goodwill…. But that is just a philosophical and humanitarian issue… who cares about the development or this world in a long therm… “faster is better”… why reflecting about the state of things if you can just pretend that you are happy when suffering is all around us… and inside of us….

9.5/10It’s my first time to go to this restaurant. Almost every thing is perfect including the food and environment. But the service needs to be improved. I ordered only one jasmine tea. When I asked for hot water she brought me another pot of jasmine tea. I also ordered one carpaccio. When the waitress asked me if I wanted more food, I told her I wanted the carpaccio which wasn’t served. But she served two carpaccio. It’s a pity about the service!
