10/10It was great experience, first time visiting this place and definitely not the last one! nice staff, especially Yuriy was very attentive and polite, also made some changes in menu as requested, we ordered hamburger, steak and ribs. Everything was really tasty and big size! The most pleasant part was price, cause with 50% discount it was very reasonable. Recommend this cozy place!

+1Nice, informal Mexican/Meat specialized eatery. My first experience with contrabando was in their other restaurant in the 24 Julho Avenue in the southernmost Lisbon area. Contrabando Saldanha keeps the same vibes as the latter, although maybe not as stylish. The food offering is the same. I chose the BBQ Ribs as it was suggested and was mildly pleased by the serving size (includes fries) and the meat's tenderness (it comes straight of the bone, flake-like). The White Chocolate Coulant is a light flavoured, soft dessert that lacks the more intense flavours of some of the other options on the menu but may provide a good option for anyone searching for anything new. All in all, Contrabando is a solid option for a good, informal dine-out experience, with a nice staff.

3.5/10Terrible food, better off eating at fast food restaurants. Burrito was mostly rice and the three tacos were tiny. Was still hungry after. The restaurant also did not honor their discount via The Fork. You can find better places to eat in Lisbon — skip this one.

5/10Definitely a drinks and fun place vs quiet dinner. Staff are friendly but had the chase them around to get served and order more. The place was packed with loud groups of friends having cocktails and it was as a Wednesday. More a party atmosphere. Also quite small portions for the price.

6/10Nice welcome. Service slipped à bit during our meal, discount applied only after I queried the bill. We had the entrecôte, very tasty but a bit tough, chips could have done with a bit longer in the fryer but were just OK. The lemon meringue pie was not fresh. I'm glad we didn't pay full price.

6/10We had to wait 35 min for a table that we had reserved on The Fork, which is not reasonable. The Mexican dishes were just average, there are much better Mexican restaurants in Lisbon, and the ribs were too dry, again there are much better options in the city. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves. Not coming back for sure.

The service was a little slow, and the staff was not very outspoken. Can't put the full blame on them, as the music is too loud. The food arrived just barely warm, and the 3 burritos we ordered were mostly rice. The carnitas tacos had too much BBQ sauce, which was very overpowering and all I could taste, so after 2 I was already tired. Would not visit again.

3.5/10The waitress was rude and didn't serve, we were put on a table right below the tv and when I asked to switch tables she didn't let us (the restaurant was empty). And the food was just straight up horrible I can't even describe it.
