It was my 2nd time and the food and service was very good. The chef does a very good job on the kitchen. I highly recommend the restaurant.

+2Five tables inside. Creative menu that varies slightly with what is the freshest abailable of the day. Everything made in house. One part of the menu we didn’t explore was sushi and bao buns for starters. Instead we opted for tapas of lamb skewers and octopus with guanciale, a pasta of tortelli with braised rabbit, fishe of the day/grouper with a romesco sauce and eggplant, red wine braised beef over fondant potato with broccoli, and finally a chocolate brownie like a lava cake with berries and crème anglaise. In warmer weather there are also outside tables, but book ahead as you will want to eat here. Modern jazz in the background, elegant modern interior, just out of sight the small kitchen making each dish individually for you. Great food, great experience!

Bingo! Cortile Pantelleria was the best restaurant we visited in Palermo. The experimental cuisine of chef Giovanni Lullo fully met—and exceeded—our highest expectations. His reinvention of sushi and Chinese buns, strongly influenced by the Sicilian tradition of pesce crudo, creates a striking fusion of East and West (or, if you prefer, South). The cacio e pepe pasta with sea urchin sauce and raw scampi was superb. Unable to stop there, we also tried the leavened bread with ham, stracciatella, and truffle honey—it was outstanding. Being well acquainted with the finest hams of Parma, we must admit that their Sicilian counterparts compete with them with great honor. A visit to Cortile Pantelleria is a must for anyone who appreciates creative cuisine deeply rooted in local tradition. As for our verdict on Giovanni Lullo’s work, we can say only one thing: Bravo!

The site is just loveley, a terrace in a small alleyway near the marina of Palermo. We had a surprise fish menu and sushi menu. The fish menu was quite good, only for a menu the portions were rather too big. The sushi hat some very good fusion elements but was overall just good ie the rice was not seasoned enough (no vinegar?) Best were the tuna handrolls. A bit sad was, that the sushi arrived all at once, while the fish menu obviously came course by course. We liked the wines offered.

We had a truly exceptional experience at Cortile Pantelleria in Palermo. The food was outstanding — every dish offered refined, well-balanced flavours and its own distinct character. From the delicate, buttery tuna carpaccio to a sensational first course featuring raw scampi and sea urchin, the culinary standard remained high throughout. The secondi and desserts were equally impressive. The service was warm and attentive, with excellent wine recommendations that perfectly complemented our Sunday lunch. The outdoor seating in a quiet, charming corner of Palermo made the experience even more special. A real gem — we will definitely be back!

Food was great!!! Service was fast and efficient. They gave us recommendations, which went down well. Everything tasted fresh. The toilets need a bit of work. But overall great dinner.

All together this place is on the very top of our restaurant list in Palermo. The chef is a genius and so skilled in handling fresh ingredients whether it is sea urchin, razor clams or a lean cut of beef. Service is friendly and the staff is like a well oiled machine. This restaurant is hidden in a small street among the ruins of Kalsa, away from the crowd which makes it perfect for an intimate dinner.

It was out first dinner in Sicily, the one we looked forward to, and booked well in advance. The choose was absolutely correct! Despite some difficulties to find the restaurant due to blocked side street, where it is located, we finally were welcomed by the smiles of all-men crew, and found ourselves in the small but well-arranged restaurant hall. Two waiters had been serving us through the dinner, assisting with the wine selection, and advising on food. Definitely recommend!
