We first went to Crab 5 years ago and had a wonderful experience so knew when we returned to Roma it would be the first place we would eat. Today’s experience was even better than we remembered! The food was fabulous and the staff made us feel really looked after and valued. We plan on going again this week before leaving.

We had a lovely evening at crab. The dishes we had were amazing - clams and linguini, octopus, cod and everything was very fresh and delicious. Beautiful restaurant and lovely evening.

We had an early dinner and it was perfect. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves before 7pm. This is a seafood restaurant so you can expect the best and freshest seafood available. The lobster and linguine will not disappoint.

Staff is very nice. I was first seated outside but I didn't like the traffic and people smoking, and they let me moved inside to a really nice and peaceful table. Food is simply amazing. Ordered the grilled seafood and fish. Done just the right way. Very fresh and flavourful. I asked for the sea urchins as starter at first but they didn't have it. Halfway through dinner, they got fresh sea urchins and offered them to me. Packed with great flavours and very glad that they remembered that I have asked for them in the beginning.

Crab Rome, despite its reputation as one of the best places in the area, left much to be desired during my recent visit. While I can appreciate the effort put into plating the food, the flavor profile fell short of my expectations. The dishes looked appealing but lacked the depth of flavors I was hoping for. Service was another letdown. Despite the restaurant having few guests, the pace was frustratingly slow. It felt as if the staff lacked urgency and enthusiasm. While the restaurant may seem charming at first glance, a closer look revealed chipped table lamps, moldy walls, and various dirty surfaces, indicating a lack of maintenance. Considering the significant disparity between the quality and the price, I cannot recommend this place. There are better dining options in the area.

Really disappointing honestly. Ordered the lobster bisque spaghetti which had next to no flavour. The lobster was cooked well but never had a bisque that had no flavour before. Waste of money unfortunately.

Very nice, but no air circulation. Hot! Even though outside was 60 degrees F. Food, especially the oysters were first rate. Service very good. Expensive, $100 apiece including les expensive champagne at $70. Will recommend. Deserts excellent.

Just believe me - oysters, seafood, pasta and wines are incredible here! Among the very best in Rome definitely! Though in order to discover and fully enjoy it, you’ll need to overcome the first impression of a very old-fashioned, too formal and rather overpriced restaurant. Many times we passed by because of that and now we regret. Good to know: portions are enormous here, so don’t order too much.

I went on a Friday night with my girlfriend to this restaurant and did not expect much due to the fact that majority(if not all) restaurants near the colosseum are organized around scamming tourists. I was very pleasantly proved wrong. The service upon arrival was superb and my girlfriend and I felt comfortable right away. The restaurant had a very ambient and romantic atmosphere which made this date night one to remember. We shared the tartare trio as a starter which I highly recommend as it was my personal favorite of the night. The freshness of the food really made you stop and take everything in for a second. If you are a seafood lover who desires an authentic Italian dining experience with the best location you will find (especially with the walk around the colosseum you can treat yourself with afterwards) I highly recommend Crab!

What a great find. Fresh lobster ???? tank, right near the colosseum . The starter was tasty and the side dishes well cooked. We really enjoyed the wine our waiter recommended.

Creative and perfectly cooked seafood. Wide selection of raw oysters. Attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming service. One of the best meals we had in three weeks in Italy. A bit pricey but the quality warrants the cost. Well worth it. Only negative is construction across street-not noisy, just detracts a bit from the otherwise pleasant setting. A real standout!
