This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Always surprising flavor combinations made to perfection, personable service and Davide, the owner and chef makes the experience memorable every time. I never miss an opportunity to have a meal here when in Genoa. Truly an amazing location and ambiance in the old city.

This is one of the best restaurants in Genoa. The menu is always changing and so interesting. I absolutely love this place!!! And the chef and owner is a delight to share your dining experience with. Plan to eat here every time i am in Genoa

Hidden in a rather beautiful square of painted houses, just off the main drag in Genoa, Cucina Valoria is a little gem of a restaurant. Some very serious cooking goes on in this kitchen. The food is traditionally minded, but bang up-to-date in its attention to detail, and overall quality, a starter of octopus, crispy on the outside, soft and delicate in the middle with a potato purée underneath was utterly delicious. The next course of pasta, an egg yolk and white truffle was everything you might expect it to be. A well chosen and reasonably priced wine list provides great opportunity for food and wine pairing, and a lovely girl who served us was completely clued up. All in all, it was one of those lunches where you just don’t want to get up from the table. I felt at the end that I wanted to do it all over again. Bravo!

Unobtrusive, hidden in a corner, but with fine cuisine using good ingredients. Clearly prepared skillfully and with passion as one may expect from such an upscale place. Friendly service too.

We had a lovely meal here sitting outside in a small but interesting piazza. The menu choices were mainly seafood but interesting and varied. All the choices we made were really tasty accompanied by a nice bottle of Ligurian wine. The food was pricier than we have paid up to now in Genoa but well worth it.

Super cozy and friendly place. Service staff and the owner/chef were friendly and accommodating to non-Italian speakers. We had a wonderful evening, with comforting foods and cheerful atmosphere. The octopus and potato purée antipasti was magical, and the cacio e Pepe Ravioli was rich and super satisfying. Highly recommend. We only wish we had been hungry enough for desserts, which looked amazing on neighboring tables.

Superb meal and such friendly service . A hugely detailed menu expertly explained by the chef himself - a man who has a huge passion for food . Such flavours with every course and the presentation was amazing - will not disappoint and fantastic value for such a beautiful meal . What a wonderful dining experience! The first course of the pulpo was superb! Tuna belly and a white fish second courses were also wonderful. Would go back if I had the time.
