Like having dinner with family - we were greeted by nonno, and told a bit about the food. Everything is homemade right down to the delicious bread. We were not too hungry so both had pastas - carbonara and gricia. The portions looked small but they weren't. We tried very hard but neither of us could quite finish even though delicious. Paired with an inexpensive wine it was the perfect meal. We had no room for dessert but did enjoy the complimentary shot of limoncello and cookie that was presented with our check. Remember I said it was like family? The son said he had a surprise and took a "romantic picture" of the two of us, then later presented it to us in a small frame. Who does that?? Only the perfect restaurant. Highly recommend.

We visited for my wife's birthday and I would say this is more a 'special event' type of place. Higher end ingredients, and obviously prices, than most most other places in Bardolino. Expect great tasting food but slightly smaller portions. Service was excellent.

The restaurant has been open since 1993 and you can see why, the food, service and atmosphere are great and the wine list is extensive. We had a fabulous evening.

The Food don’t tast off any thing

Antipasti e piatti principali non sono stati serviti insieme, e chi passava al tavolo a chiedere se andasse tutto bene ero io, il titolare, non un semplice cameriere. I piatti sono stati ritirati dopo che avevate finito, non “uno alla volta per fare pressione”: è attenzione, non tortura. Quanto al “cibo che non sapeva di niente”, quella sera abbiamo servito 150 clienti soddisfatti. Forse è mancato il sapore… alla recensione. Ci spiace non essere stati all’altezza delle sue aspettative. Per fortuna, la maggior parte dei nostri ospiti apprezza il nostro impegno quotidiano. Cordiali saluti, il cameriere che chiedeva se andasse tutto bene, non se aveste finito.

So nice service, but haven’t the wine i wantet just like last visit here, and made my choice a more expensive bottle like last time☺️ i think thats a good way to make peaple choose a livel up i wine. Food was good and tastefull, our 2 visit there.

Ci dispiace sinceramente che non abbia trovato l’etichetta desiderata: succede molto raramente che manchino 1 o 2 vini, su oltre 90 referenze in carta. Abbiate pazienza, ma con oltre 30.000 euro di vini in cantina, non abbiamo certo bisogno di “convincere” i clienti a spendere di più. Abbiamo bottiglie da 16 a 500 euro, e il nostro unico obiettivo è consigliare – se possibile – un’alternativa che permetta di vivere un’esperienza diversa, ovviamente rispettando i gusti, i desideri e le possibilità di chi ci sceglie. Speriamo di rivederla presto… magari con la sua etichetta preferita già in fresco! Un caro saluto da tutto il team.

Steak ordered medium-rare was cooked through, burger patty day. Pasta was good, I guess we picked the wrong dishes.

The super friendly staff that helped out and arranged flowers for my wife on her birthday! Great variance on the menu and the quality of the food was also very nice, overall a great experience would recommend everyone to visit this nice place.

Food was good but nothing special - I’ve had better. Pasta was generally disappointing relative to reviews (2 others in my party thought so) but Ravioli was tasty. Tiramisu was good. Nice selection of local wines at a reasonable price. Nice buzzing atmosphere.

We always ask all our customers if what they have ordered is to their liking several times during the service. Great experience. Excellent food, service, friendly people, ambience, just everything about it. In a quaint little village right by the water. Really couldn't ask for a more authentic Italian dining experience that didn't seem super touristy.

This restaurant is less than a five minute walk from the Lakeside and it is the best five minutes we spent to find this absolute gem of a restaurant. Relaxed ambience, great staff and outstanding food, we enjoyed the mojito scallops, prepared at the table in their shells which were fantastic, followed by a great Sea Bass and Tuna Tatiki cooked to perfection. Desert it is always great ice cream in Italy. Highly recommended one of the best meals and evenings we have had - and we have had many! Well worth a visit.

Beautiful little restaurant, the host Alessandro was very attentive and helpful regarding wine choices and food etc. we had scallops and bruschetta for starters followed by fillet steaks in green pepper sauce which were cooked perfectly. Most expensive meal from our holiday however it was for a special birthday and the food was excellent so worth it. Would def recommend and return

my wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary … our waiter looked after us exceptionally well, making the evening fun and very, very enjoyable. All of the food was prepared and presented to a high standard. We enjoyed limoncello and a brandy drop from a very large bottle after the meal. if you were planning a visit I recommend you book in advance !

Reservation was correct and restaurant expecting us. Drinks and food were ordered and the drinks arrived promptly. We changed tables to move inside. The starter arrived and tasted delicious - the waitress explained how to eat the ndujya sauce. The main course was very delayed. The food tasted ok, but the sauces were nothing special. The maitre d’ apologised for our delayed meal, explained what had gone wrong with the table transfer and offered us a grappe and chocolate as apology. Both were delicious.

The delay was our mistake due to the table change, we apologised and tried to rectify our mistake. However, it is not possible to leave a 6/10 on the cuisine if the food was to your liking as you wrote!

A holiday meal. We really enjoyed the experience. The sea bass and salmon mains we had were excellent. A wonderful tiramisu to finish. Friendly service throughout. Highly recommend.

Good food, but had to remind twice to bring our water, didn't offer desserts or coffees, had to get up and ask twice for our bill, no complimentary limoncello despite seeing it be offered to other tables and us spending >€200 euros between four of us. Unfortunately won't return. .

So disappointing after the good reviews. We had scallops as starter. They were tiny and smothered in a crumb mixture. Mixed fried fish was dry and very average. Not worth the money. The staff were lovely but that's no use without good food

Arricchito con gamberoni gamberetti e una piccola capesante la sfido a trovarne uno più buono nella zona e le rimborso 100 euro subito! Poi che può piacere o no questo è sicuro! Ma sulla qualità da noi non si discute!!!!

This restaurant is right in the heart of town so very easy to find and get to . The staff are warm and friendly and made our visit feel that much more special. The menu is tricky in that it is so varied and needs almost a bottle of wine to make your choices. When the food arrives it is heavenly . This restaurant epitomises the delights of Italian cooking. It is not cheap but neither is it expensive. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, it has stiff competition from many other fine restaurants in Bardolino.

Decent quality food, fair value for money with the 20% discount. Really good cocktails made with care and attention and seemed to be suitably boozy. Excellent service, friendly, welcoming and attentive.

This is the second time that we have visited this Restaurant. The Service, Quality of Food and Atmosphere was superb. Looking forward to another visit before we leave Bardolino.

A really lovely Bistro in the centre of Bardolino. The staff where very friendly and our waiter explained the dishes on offer with a graphic colourful menu which was helpful to see the dishes on offer. With his help we chose a very nice local Bardolino wine to compliment the dishes. I started with Melon and Prosciutto and then had the Tortellini. The portions of food where very generous and I really enjoyed my meal taking it easy over 1.5 hours. It’s very relaxing to sit and watch the world go by and enjoy a fabulous meal. I will be back to sample more food from this gem of a restaurant.
