10/10Delicious authentic spot in the middle of Venice. The baked gnocchi was divine, as well as the shrimp tagliolini and filet mignon. The complimentary limoncello at the end was a nice touch!

6.5/10It was in a backstreet no outside seating no air conditioning some fans in the restaurant. The menu was ok for fish not so many meat dishes I really like fish so ok I had fish it came out it looked delicious, however the waiter filleted it at the table way too fast and lots of bones left in it. every mouthful!!! I wanted to gag as I got so many bones we ate at othe restaurants whilst here and this was our least favourite

10/10The seafood appetizer and all of the seafood pastas were exceptional. Our waiter was a gem. When asked about a grappa after dinner he did not recommend the most expensive but the best middle of the road priced excellent flavored grappa. Very happy to recommend this restaurant. Mille Grazie

10/10Exceptional dining experience! Quaint, rustic family owned & operated restaurant with a ton of charm. Excellent menu with a variety of dishes including many daily specials. Extensive wine offerings from many Italian regions. Owner takes a lot of pride in her establishment and was very welcoming to her guests!

10/10This restaurant was an amazing find. The food was absolutely delicious and the aroma when you walked in told you you were going to have a great meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced considering it’s central location. If returned to Venice would absolutely book here again. Thank you for a fabulous evening for myself and my children.

10/10I had the ravioli and it was the best ravioli I've ever had in my life. We read from other reviews that the tiramisu was really good, and it was so fresh and delicious. The waiter told us he had made it earlier that morning and it was a huge helping of it. Some of the best food I've ever had.

2/10The entrance is very small, so it was very conjested trying to get into the door, We were pointed to the corner like bad children and sat down. The waiter could not understand the fact that I didn't drink alcohol and get asking over and over again why, then commenting that as I was English, then why? He then kept forcing the catch off the day on me, I explained that I didn't eat fish, he commented " what you don't eat fish or drink?" My starter was OK at best and my wife's soup was OK. My wife had the fish recommended by him and he prepared at the table, the fish had so many bones it was difficult to eat, but obviously I can't blame the restaurant for that. But I had the beef with sauce, I told the waiter well done as that's my preference, headed me was I sure and I repeated my request. It was the worst piece of meat I ever have had, it was raw and covered in peppercorn sauce so o couldn't see the meat, it was so tough, I could not physically cut it. To make matters worse there was a dark hair on the sauce. I couldn't eat it, when my wife had finished, the waiter came up to me and asked was everything OK, I told him that it was to rare for me, he offered to cook it, saying it would only take 2 minutes but I refused. I paid the bill as I didn't want any fuss. My trip to Venice has been filled with some great memories and food. This place will not be remembered and I highly recommend that you go anywhere else but here

10/10On the evening we went it was extremely busy, which is always a good sign. Although we had booked it was not too long before we were shown to our table. Service was prompt and very helpful. Food is excellent which includes specialty dishes from Venice. If you’re looking for that special restaurant in Venice which is very reasonably priced, then I would gladly recommend Da Carletto.

9.5/10We both had beautifully cooked steak in different sauces. The meat was tender, delicious and cooked to our requirements. The meat portions were generous. We had the mixed seasonal veg - broccoli and spinach- was also nicely cooked. The beef came with some saute/roasted potato. It was plenty for me but my husband would have preferred more. We would go back as we had a lovely meal. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

10/10The food was excellent and what a bargain for the price! I've been to Venice many times over the year and this has to be one of the best restaurants for value and quality of food in the city. It is not a fine dining experience, but as is often the experience, the food was better than what one often finds in places costing 5 to 7 times as much. It is on the list of recommended restaurants by the St. Regis Venice Hotel.

9.5/10We were a bit early and were informed the kitchen was closed. Not Pleasent. But they did serve us wine and bread while we waited for the kitchen crew to reopen. They also began seating people within a few minutes after our arrival.. Once things were underway we had an eexcellent meal and server.

8.5/10The appetizers were great but the pasta wasn't very good, the cabonara maybe added too much pasta water and used egg whites which made it NOT so perfect , the seafood pasta wasn't very good, the steak didn't have any side dishes, and I felt a little uncomfortable when the merchant refused to take coins when check

10/10We scouted many restaurants to eat at and found Da Carletto! You will not be dissapointed. The restaurant is small with maybe 10 tables for a very cozy experience, very reasonably priced, great service, and everything we consumed was incredible. Shout out to the one of a kind tiramisu that was fluffier than any other, the crispy calamari, thinly sliced beef carpacio, and the ravioli that I will dream about until I eat there again!

9.5/10Very nice food, and great service. Unfortunately the table next to us ruined the experience for us. Their children constantly shouting and stood at our table just staring at us. We understand that it's not the establishments fault, and have reflected this in the scores. However, they did nothing to stop this, and made no effort to request that the children stop disturbing the other diners.

10/10We read about this restaurant on TripAdvisor. The restaurant lived up to its reputation. It was charming and the food was delicious. We don’t know if TripAdvisor always gets it right, but they did in this case.

7/10The reviews we read recommended this restaurant. We however thought the portions were small for what they charge.The lobster tagliatelle 30 euro did not have a decent amount of lobster meat. Beef Rossini 30 euro was delicious but only meat on the plate. No potatoes nor veggies. Shrimp scampi 28 euro like the lobster entree was mostly shells with little shrimp meat. Expensive cover charge more than many other fine dining places. Ambience was warm and inviting. Unfortunately we can not recommend this restaurant. Much better value at other fine dining restaurants.

10/10Definitely a must while in Venice. We shared ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta topped with smoked ricotta and the lobster linguine. They were both fantastic!
