One of my favourite restaurants during a holiday in Rome. They serve traditional Roman dishes in a cosy setting. Had lunch here - bruschetta, salad, meatballs and potatoes, truffle pasta, zabagione, coffee and wine. Everything was delicious and service was super friendly, both the younger waiter and the owner were very kind and welcoming. Recommend eating here and my only regrets are not coming here sooner and wasting time and money in the mediocre restaurants nearby.

Friendly staff, a great location in the centre of the night life district, beautiful interior with prominent guests on the wall. The food was delicous. We tried the patate frito, the truffle pasta and the Scalaponni. In Germany we say "tolli" und "leckri".

Just ate there when we were in Rome and the food was delicious and the owner is so sweet and kind. Wine was lovely and the truffle pasta was yummm!! Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

If you want a fun, authentic, delicious Italian meal, you can't do much better than Da Fabrizio al 56. We had a wonderful dinner (there were 8 of us) - the food was fantastic, the service was excellent and the atmosphere can't be beat. This is where the locals go, and now I know why. This is a must-try place if you are in Rome!

Food was good. We had reservations at 8:30pm and arrived early. They sat us immediately but took 15 minutes for someone to bring water. Then it took 25minutes to take our order and bring our wine. Our appetizer came out at 9:30pm and our first course at 9:50pm. The last course came at 10:20. The I’m not sure if they there is only one chef/cook. The food was decent he just took a while to receive. Overall, disappointed in the experience based on all the food reviews.

Dinner was delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about how yummy the food was. My husband had the carbornara and I had the cacio e pepe. Both were out of this world. They had a singer that would go to each table and seranade the table in Italian. It was amazing and the best part is that we got to meet Fabrizio and he was so sweet. This place is a must. Food 10/10, ambiance 10/10. We will definitly be back.

It was wonderful start to finish! We got there right when they opened (actually before, but they let us sit and order a drink before the kitchen opened.) The food was delicious, our waiter was so funny and patient and lovely! The oxtail dish was so so so good, I had the carbonara and my dad had the cacio e Pepe. It all was delicious!!!!

Fabrizio and his son were lovely people! We’ve had not so great experience with other restaurants in Italy-Cortana, and this made up for it! Food was amazing, and very chill! Would highly recommend!!!

Wow! We are visiting from America and found this hidden gem. The food was amazing but the staff is what made this experience amazing! Being in another country can be scary not knowing the language well but staff here has been the BEST part of our trip. Our server was top tier. On the way out, the owner kissed my hand. Such amazing people. We will always recommend this place.
