10/10The food was fabulous. We have been on the hunt for the best Cacio Pepe - we were so disappointed UNTIL we found Da Francesco Roma. Everything we ate was exceptional including the wine. Service also welcoming and helpful. Don’t miss this restaurant - there are a lot of imposters along the streets of Roma. You won’t be disappointed here. We ate inside - simple, classic Italian charm.

10/10Everyone was super friendly, from the gentlemen greeting us at the podium, to the ever cheerful and full of energy “hostess”, you know, the girl that Samba’d my wife to our table. Our waitress, who wrote her name down but I don’t remember it, (mi dispiace ) was cheerful, helpful ( suggested to us the best focaccia ever) and attentive. Food was solid, Cacio e pepe pasta, spiced salami pizza, delicious house wine. Full servings that we couldn’t finish. For a full, authentic Roman meal in Trastevere, it can’t be beat!

4/10We went to this restaurant because it was recommended by staff at our hotel, but it was very disappointing. The food was not tasty, rather boring, and our server was just not that attentive. Also we were practically sitting in the street with no ambience of any kind. We should have left when we saw the set up but hoped for the best.

9/10The staff was friendly and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and courses were well timed. I had the Veal Romano and my wife had the Truffle pasta. We sat outside and enjoyed the busy atmosphere of dining alfresco, along with chatting with other customers. All in all it was a wonderful experience.

6/10We saw that Bobby Flay had recommended this restaurant for the four important Roman pastas to try. We order these four, the carbonara, gricia, amatriciana, and the cacio e peppe. All 4 pastas were a bit too al dente, which means they were very hard when we bit into them. The pork used in three of these dishes were overcooked making them a bit crunchy and hard to bit into, and there was just way too much salt in the base making it almost inedible. We were very excited to try these dishes and disappointed that they weren't that good. Please taste test your foods before serving!

10/10We are from the United States. Our first two meals at Da Francesco in 2010 and 2012 were wonderful and we returned in 2024 hoping it had maintained its high quality. It was even better than we remembered. The pasta was exquisite, but the caprese and saltimbocca were also excellent. Service and ambience were also excellent. Another memorable experience at Da Francesco!

4.5/10We visit Rome often and have been here a few times. Every time we catch them overcharging us for things we did not order or inflating the price on the bill so that it is more than the menu price. They always "make mistakes" in their favour. I would never return as there are better options with more honest proprietors. Avoid, they do not deserve the business.

6.5/10We had reserved a table at Da Francesco after a friend’s recommendation who had been in the restaurant years ago. Unfortunately I found Da Francesco very overrated and certainly very touristy. The food is ok but it’s not certainly something to write home about. I somehow understand how Americans, British or some northern countries would enjoy it much more but for a Mediterranean it’s simply mediocre. They have an excellent and very extensive wine list and the waiters are delightful. The room is quite noisy with the crowd but that’s not unexpected, it’s a medium sized restaurant with lost of tables. What we absolutely didn’t like was when they served us the receipt unprompted when we decline to have desserts; while we still had almost half a bottle of wine. This was around 1.15 hours into our meal. One point I took out just for this, it was quite rude in a way I have never seen in Italy over the years.

9.5/10My wife and I had the best pizza ( thin crust with mozzarella, mushroom and sausage) as well as the best pasta dish ( ravioli with truffle) that we have had in our 6 days in Rome. The service was excellent as well. This is a great place to eat, they treat you well and the pricing is very reasonable for such high quality food. Would go back tomorrow, but we are headed to Florence.
