very tasty

A good evening out on a rainy night. Reservations very much suggested for dinner! One man in the front of house does it all. Manages arrivals, waits tables and delivers food doing all three tasks with efficiency and precision! Good food with courses space out to allow for dining relaxation and enjoyment. Marked for a return on our next Siena visit.

Fantastic food! Went there 2 nights in a row!

Absolutely perfect pasta!

A good little Siena osteria. The beauty is in its simplicity; a lunch where we all come at the same time, a friendly competant waiter, the food was very good with that Tuscan view to excellent delivery but minimal fuss over the dishes. Tagliata di Manzo at €15 perfectly executed? (I couldn't find this in New York.) Nicely done.

Lovely food in a great restaurant at a very reasonable price.

The pasta were very good (most notably the pici cacio Pepe) however the tiramisu quantity, while good, was very underwhelming. Very surprising for a dessert costing 5e… otherwise very good experience.
8.5
Nice restaurant, close to the centre but away from the really touristy spots. Lovely, accommodating staff and a decent value menu for lunch.

Had a great lunch with my wife and we really enjoyed Toscana styled food with reasonable price. Only missing point was we didn’t order any wine since we saved it for dinner.

This was all we expected and better. It is not fast food or fine dining, but it isn’t expected to be. We had very, very good food with lot’s of taste. Wine was good local wine with lot’s of taste. Relaxed setting - busy with many happy guests. Perfect!

Simple, authentic, delicious food. Very nice service. Very good house wine. Zero presence, just obvious quality. Just what you need in Tuscany.

We usually visit Siena every year and eat in Osteria Da Gano a couple of times . The food is is very good and reasonably priced and unlike some of it's neighbours, it has far more substance over style. Nice outdoor seating in a street with a good buzz. Well worth a visit.

Attentive service and food was delicious. Nice atmosphere inside.

Lovely Osteria, slightly off the main tourist area. The service was really friendly and made us feel at ease. The tagliata was exceptional. Good value for money. The whole family enjoyed their meal.

Really great food and great setting. Best carbonara I have ever had.

Place to eat in Siena! Very local place, where locals eat. Everything is tasty, interesting and local. We felt very welcomed!

Our B&B recommended this osteria to us and it was really worth it! Very good quality and price! Next to our B&B, very near the centre. We had delicious meat too! A must!

Food was amazing I highly recommended having the Osso Bucco.
7.5
Interesting menu, reasonable prices, friendly service, a bright and serviceable place, not dark and romantic, marred only by one very loud and inconsiderate diner who raised the noise level to an echoing din. Still, we may well return tonight, having missed the quail last night.

If you want an affordable delicious meal in Siena, this is your spot. My husband and I had water, a split first course of ravioli, two main dishes, two desserts, and a liter of wine for 53 Euro. I had the steak with garbanzos which was tender and cooked to perfection. The portions were perfect, and the service great! My only regret is we didn’t come here sooner.

Good simple food in a friendly atmosphere for a very reasonable price.

De Gano was pretty good for a Sienese restaurant at a decent price without a long wait to be seated.

Great food! We split the pici with cheese and black pepper, then I had the grilled chicken and hubby had osso bucco. Everything was great, and we had plenty to eat. Heartily recommend!

Nice and cozy, great service, food is very good & so is the in-house wine.

When we entered the restaurant we were quite disappointed. An English version of the menu is a printed out stack of paper that doesn't look good. At the first sight, the list of dishes looks ordinarily. But once you start reading the ingredients you see a little twist added by a chef. We have tried gnocchi with cabbage and fusilli with shrimps. Both were delicious. We didn't want to order a whole bottle of wine, and there were no wines available per glasses except the house wine. Unfortunately, the house wine wasn't good.
